Chapter 9: Seeing Red

Miku's POV:

It was really nice of Len to by me lunch...I hadn't wanted to eat but I couldn't lie and say I had a big breakfast. He was the one that BOUGHT me breakfast. I felt bad for his friend though. The one with the pink hair. He kept waving at Len to try and get his attention

Was he just going to treat me like HE did? I can't trust anyone anymore, not even myself.

ESPECIALLY not myself.

It was time for class again. I didn't have any time to go and play the piano. I wasn't sure if I really needed to today though, I mean, someone was actually being KIND to me!

But it was Len. The most popular boy in school. WHY would he even want to TALK to me? Maybe he was just PRETENDING to be nice. So I would lower my guard...just like with HIM.

Len sat next to me in class again. I don't really know how to feel about that. It was nice...sort of...but he kept STARING at me and it was freaking me out. And it's hard to ignore someone who is staring directly at you with a face that looks like they're trying to figure you out and scan into your soul.

Out of the corner of my eye I saw Len opening his mouth, so I looked over at him. He was just yawning but he smiled at me when I looked at him.

Somebody kicked my seat. 

It was Ruko. "Oh sorry." She smirked.

I turned back to my work and tried to ignore Len and Ruko. 

I saw Len's friend turn around, lift up ten fingers, and give Len a thumbs up. Len didn't even glance at him though, he was still staring at me.

This was getting kind of creepy. Next to Luki sat...sat HIM. He was glaring at Len. His glare shifted to me, but I looked down at my desk quickly.

The class finally ended. I looked around but HE was gone. That made me really nervous so I practically jumped fifty feet in the air when  Len called my name.

"You okay!?" He cried after he pretty much gave me a heart attack.

"Yeah...I'm fine...I think..." I gasped and held my hand to my chest. 

Everyone else had left the classroom. It was just Len and I. I actually started shaking.

"Okay I need to go now." I announced and started to run out the door.

"Wait!" Len grabbed my arm.

Oh my gosh, please no. My heart rate accelerated, as did my breathing.

"What's wrong?" He asked. "Are you okay?"

Really? He just grabbed my arm and now was asking me if I was okay? I AM SCARED AS HECK!

"C...can you p...please let g...go of my...my arm?" I stuttered.

"Oh, yeah sorry." Len smiled sheepishly. "I just...uh...wanted to talk to you."

"A...about what?" My voice quivered as he finally let go of my arm.

"About..." Len started. All of a sudden a fist appeared out of nowhere and made contact with Len's jaw. He yelled and stumbled back.

Oh my gosh it's HIM...

Meito grabbed my arm and pinned it against the wall. "What do you think you're doing flirting with HIM?" He asked angrily.

Len froze. 

"And you..." He turned to Len. "Stay away from my girl."

Len looked directly into my eyes. "He's your boyfriend!?"

"L...Len he is..." Before I could get the words out, Meito smashed his face onto mine. 

"MMFFF!" I struggled but he just grabbed me tighter.

"HEY!" Len yelled. "Quit it!"

Meito released me and turned to face Len. "Who are you to tell me what to do Kagamine? You have all the girls in the school and now you think you can take Miku away from me? Well hate to break it to you, but she's MINE."

I clutched my wrist, it had a red hand-mark on it from where Meito grabbed me.

"You don't OWN her." Len retorted.

While they were fighting over...I guess ME, I started to back up slowly. Trying to get away from Meito.

Unfortunately Meito noticed me and he shot out his hand to grab my arm again.

"LEMME GO!" I screamed.

"LET HER GO!" Len yelled at the same time.

"Come on Miku..." Meito crooned. "Let's go somewhere where Kagamine won't find us."

"NO!" I yelled and thrashed around. The thrashing only made Meito pull me into him. Now I couldn't get away at all.

So I bit him. I bit Meito's hand.

"OW! WHAT THE... YOU LITTLE!!!" Meito cried as I slipped through his arms and ran behind Len.

That's when I knew I made a mistake. Meito's face got really dark and scary and he started walking towards us.

"Miku RUN!" Len commanded.

I didn't need to be told twice. I ran like the devil was after me, which he kinda was.

I ran straight out of the school and into the open air. I headed for the street and thats when someone's arms wrapped around me in a squeezing hold.
