Confessions of a Lovesick Girl

I watch him slyly,

He who has another

And feel happiness

when he sees me.

I think of our closeness

and how it was funner,

before we drifted

and began to fade.

He glances at her

who also glances at him;

They talk and laugh

when they are together.

I watch from afar

and wish I could win

this waging war

that only brings me pain.

I force myself

to get some closure

Maybe then my life

won't feel so insane.

I take a step forward

and feel naked exposure

So I brace myself and

get back in the love game.
