"Every morning, I swear. You need to organise yourself better, girl!" The brunette noted to her exhausted best friend. Marinette had once again stumbled into class late, which wasn't exactly uncommon.

She knew that she couldn't say the real reason she was always late was due to her constant secret job of saving the city from akumatized victims. However, she wished that the magical ladybugs would renew her energy like they renewed everything else.

"Sorry Alya, I was up late sketching designs. Gabriel Agreste's new 'Deluxe' line has so many good elements and is stunning to the eye!" She admitted. Alya rolled her eyes at the bluenette beside her.

"I'll be sure to give my father your praise!" The random input from Adrien made Marinette jump in her seat. She hadn't expected him to hear her gawking over his father's handiwork. Although she was 18 now, Marinette was still conflicted about how she felt about Adrien.

"Thanks Adrien! Are you modelling any of the pieces?" Her stutter had disappeared as her confidence grew around him. As much as she may have liked him, she learned to accept that he saw her as just a friend and she was okay with that. Besides, the way he looked at Kagami proved he was head over heels for her.

Adrien just shrugged, since his father had been lightening the load ever so slightly with fewer photoshoots per week. Just as he was about to talk to Mari more, Ms Bustier started handing out the maths test. To Marinette, it all looked like a mess of numbers that taunted her not-so-great mathematic ability.

The following two hours that passed felt like days for the class. Except Max of course, he was a whiz at that sort of stuff. The only sound that filled the room was pencils on paper and the occasional defeated sigh. Of course, Chloe just sat there on her phone while Sabrina answered her Chloe's test for her.

To the students' relief, the bell for lunch rang and they were dismissed. Since they could go get lunch out of school grounds, Marinette joined Alya to her house, where her mother was preparing a warm lunch for them.

"Say Alya, why is Nino's jacket hanging up when he isn't here?" Marinette teased as her best friend's face burned with blush. Nothing but a shove came from Alya in response, which only answered Marinette's question.

The two girls quickly finished their lunch before heading back to the school grounds and returning to their classes. The rest of the final school day seemed to fly by as no interesting events happened seeing as they technically graduated yesterday. As the final bell rang for the day, Marinette checked her phone to see she had a message from Luka.

Luka🎸: hey are we still on for our guitar lesson this afternoon? i can pick you up from the school if you'd like :)

Marinette internally cursed at herself as she hurriedly typed a response. She couldn't believe she forgot about her guitar lesson with Luka! She quickly fixed all typos and sent a reply.

Marinette🌸: Oh my goodness I totally forgot! Sorry, I had a math test earlier and I was so worried about it that I blanked about this afternoon. If you could pick me up that would be fantastic but I honestly don't mind walking. It's up to you.

Luka🎸: i'll be there in ten minutes

Marinette sighed in relief at the fact that she wouldn't have to walk all the way to the Couffaine's houseboat. She sat on the stairs of the school as she waited for Luka to arrive. She was confused by what he meant by ten minutes though. The bike ride usually took half an hour.

"Well are you hopping on or not?" Marinette lifted her head to see Luka riding a brand new motorbike. Her jaw dropped as she thought of everything that could happen if she agreed to get on that death machine.

"No. No way! There is no way you are going to convince me to get on that death trap, Luka. Are you mad?" She screamed as she rambled about how dangerous it was.

"Mari calm down, I know what I'm doing. Besides, I have a helmet for you too," He stated, holding said helmet out for Marinette. She looked at the helmet before hesitantly grabbing it from Luka's hand. She sat on the bike, wrapped her arms around Luka's torso and squeezed her eyes shut.

She could feel her jacket flying back in the wind and tried to open her eyes. Once her eyes were open, she couldn't bare to close them again. With the visor of the helmet protecting her eyes from the passing air, she was able to take in her surroundings. The thrill of everything whizzing past made the hairs on the back of her neck stand up.

Just as she adjusted to the speed and blurred surrounding, Luka slowed the bike down to a stop in front of the houseboat. The engine hummed to a stop as Luka kicked the stand to hold the bike up. Marinette basically jumped off of the bike and pulled her helmet off.

"Luka that was incredible! When did you get this?" She squealed, her words merging together as she spoke so fast. Luka removed his helmet soon after and for a moment, Marinette was star struck.

His eyes were only half open, adjusting to the harsh afternoon sun. He gripped the middle finger of his leather glove between his teeth and pulled it off to allow himself to remove the other. Small droplets of sweat glistened on his forehead and stuck stray hairs to the sides of his face.

"Earth to Mari, you still in there?" A voice struck Marinette from her thoughts and she snapped back to reality. She blinked a few times before looking back up at Luka, who was now right in front of her. Not right in front of her, practically glued to her.

"Yeah I'm alright, just taking in that whole experience," She lied, stepping back to a more comfortable distance and brushing the helmet hair out of her face.

"You sure? You were rocking some goo-goo eyes just then. For a moment I thought I had transformed into Adrien," He chuckled, taking the spare helmet from Marinette.

"Ha ha, very funny Luka," The bluenette remarked sarcastically before marching into Luka's room. Luka however? He lagged behind slightly, mesmerised about how beautiful she was.

If only she knew...
