Chapter 2

Now it was your chance to test the elders. A smile is plastered onto your face as you respond.

"Of course not, i'm not allowed to leave the castle, remember? Elders orders. But if I did go and leave the castle, I would be able to save all of you some time with these so-called 'potential demon kings'. You know since I am almost as strong as the demon king."

Please take the bait.

Whispers start to develop throughout the room. As the elders were discussing amongst themselves about your comment, you couldn't help but remember the first time you were taken away to Bodiam. Ever since you were little, you knew your place in the demon realm. You hated the idea that you were only kept alive in order to serve the demon king. The countless years of experimenting, torture, and training your body suffered was all for the demon king so this was your chance to get revenge and kill the so called demon king yourself.

A couple of seconds go by until Medoin speaks up. "Young Y/N, your tricks will not work on us. We cannot allow you out of bodiam no matter what. the demon king is none of your concern so leave."

You always hated medoin. Just as you were about to speak up, Ivis was quick to argue against medoin. "We are running out of time so we need to see if this boy is real or not. It may be better to have Y/N attend the lecture rather than ydol and gaios in order to not raise suspicion." This was the first time ivis has ever argued for you so you knew that something was different about Ivis. Since you knew ivis was onto something, you didn't want things to go his way. "Thanks ivis for your kind words, but I think I'll stay in bodiam. I'm not interested in this demon king nor am I interested in doing work. I have a bed to attend to. Bye!" Before you could leave, Melheis calls out to you.

Crap. "Y/N. Stay. Ivis, you should know that we are aware of the timeline, but we cannot have people know about the power and abilities of Y/N. We need to keep her status as a demon soldier confidential."

It was rare to see Melheis agree with Medoin, especially since you anticipated that he would allow you to attend the lecture.

Zoro decided to step into the conversation. "Well, why don't we have Y/N transfer into the academy as a student so she can get close to the students and be a spy for us. She is the same age as the rest of them so she'll blend in just fine. No one will know about her status or relations with us. We can have her transfer in with Mr. Ray Grandsdori, who is also very skilled in sword magic, just to make it seem less suspicious. We can have them start attending after Ivis comes back from his lecture. No one will know." you could see zoro's mischievous smile going from ear to ear. The thought of going to school made you sick, the fact that you'll be surrounded with weaklings. You also didn't know who this ray grandsdori was, but you were sure his sword magic was nothing compared to yours. You weren't excited at all about zoo's idea, but you did find want to learn more about anos voldigoad since you found that boy interesting.

After a brief moment, all the elders agree to Zoro's idea. You were shocked at the fact that they actually gave you permission to leave Bodiam. Just as your demon eyes began to light up from excitement, Melheis interjects "Y/N will have access to all sectors, but we will keep an eye on her at all times. You are to not use your magic to the fullest extent in order to not raise suspicion. Just for safety precautions, we will have guards with Y/N at all times as well. Those are the terms you must agree to, how does that sound to you Y/N."

You hated the smirk Melheis gave to you as he finished his sentence. The fact that you were going to have babysitters and be watched made you mad.

"Whatever" you say as you walk out of the room. As you were walking back to your room, you couldn't help but think about the fact that you were finally given the opportunity to leave bodiam for the first time. You knew you wanted to leave, but the idea of going to school was not something you wanted.

You sigh as you lay down on your bed. Let's see how this goes.
