Melizabeth: Strictly Business.

Chapter TwentySeven

Meliodas~

We arrived back home 3 hours later. The whole time Elizabeth held onto me silently. I knew she just wanted to be comforted so I didn't say much to her. She was caught in her own thoughts while I was stuck in mine.

The whole time images of Eliza and I flashed in my mind. Something I wasn't supposed to remember coming back to me made me question everything.

I could see scenes of us in small instances. Some making love, others making promises. Her death even crossed my mind.

I've never seen anything like this before..this mating process with Elizabeth must have triggered something in my memories.

Elizabeth now sat next to me in the living room, we were surrounded by the sins and she told them about our time there.

"Wow Elizabeth. So you mean it when you say your place is with us?" Diane asked with a sparkle in her eyes.

"Yes of course. I wouldn't have come back if it weren't for that. Our time together has been special to me and I'm no where near ready to let go of our adventures. So for now I've decided to continue being a sin. Meliodas can teach me to be a princess."

Unfortunately paying attention to the conversation had been proving too hard. I closed my eyes and laid back on the couch. The headache was crazy but what felt crazier was what I saw.

She was dressed in darkness.. her smile felt intoxicating but her attitude was even better..

I was pinned against the wall with her body pressed up on mine. Her knee in between the gap of my legs. We were in the Demon castle.. it hadn't looked like this since it was first built a thousand years prior to now.

"Tell me... Prince.." she whispered to me as we stood in the hallway. "Is it so bad to admit you want me?"

Whoa.

"Eliza you're more forward than any commanding warrior I've ever known. You got guts." My arm wrapped around her waist.

"Us devine creatures tend to be that way. Especially when you're me..."

Surely Devine would mean... goddess right? Like holy?

"Meliodas we could rewrite the world together.. I'm supposed to choose between you two.. so allow me to pick you."

What the fuck is she talking about?! This was beginning to irritate the patience out of me.

"Eliza we have yet to know if this will start a war.. I told you to just pick him. You won't ever have to carry the weight of a royal demon. Besides he's an archangel. Someone everyone loves."

Her eyes rolled to what felt like was the back of her head. This was followed by a pout while her hand made it's way up my abs, chest and snaked around my neck.

"Its because you want this for me that makes you worthy."

My eyes opened, Elizabeth sat on top of me with tears running down her beautiful face. "What's wrong?" I asked quietly.

The sins still surrounded us, each one had a worried look written on their faces. "Captain.. you blacked out.. Princess has been trying to wake you for the past ten minutes.. you were unresponsive until now." Merlin explained.

She held onto me tightly, nuzzling her face into my neck. "Merlin.. we need to speak." My gaze fell on Elizabeth.

"I'm okay.. maybe it's just me traveling from such a sacred ground.. I'm gonna have Merlin run some tests alright?" I whispered into her ear, she nodded slowly. "Make sure you're okay." She lifted herself off of me and sat with the others.

"Ban you come too." I ordered before following Merlin down to her lab.

The three of us stood around her experiment table. "Cap'n what's so important I gotta be dragged into this?" Ban complained.

"I've been getting these vivid images since I slept in the Goddess kingdom.. of me and a girl named Eliza." I began to explain, catching the mad womans attention.

"She looks exactly like Elizabeth.. except she has short hair and resembles a demon.. from the look of the castle it seems like I'm seeing things from a thousand years ago but I cant figure out why." I crossed my arms and sighed.

This feels like it'll only get more and more irritating by the day.

"A woman named Eliza huh.. I may need some time to look into this Captain. I need to do some research."

I groaned at the thought of waiting for answers but I knew Merlin would tell me asap so I left with Ban. "Cap'n do you really think it's her?" He asked me on our way towards the kitchen.

"Her confidence is sky high and she's a lot more forward but that's the only difference.  At one point we were arguing about going into war with the goddess clan.. she told me we'd lose the place we were born to meet in. Make's me think she's demon.. but then she told me she's a devine being... so then I thought Goddess again. Or maybe all of what I'm seeing is irrelevant and I'm making a big deal out of nothing."

Who. Is. She.

"Maybe she's neither. Who knows. We know Princess is a Goddess and she's your mate now. Isn't that all that matters?" He poured me a mug of ale.

"Not if this could come back and bite us both in our asses. We're trying to get the Demon realm and Goddess realm to sign a peace treaty imagine if what happened back then could wreck our chances of a real life together?" I chugged my ale down after.

"If that's the case then us sins will do whatever it takes to keep your chances from wrecking. Leave it to Merlin Cap. She never fails once her mind is set."

"I guess you're right. Thanks Ban.." he chuckled and nudged me. "What's a bestfriend for?"

We both made our way into the living room again. "Feeling better captain?" Diane asked the moment she saw me.

"Yup. Merlin's looking further into it too. Where's Elizabeth?" I asked on impulse.

"Showering." Elaine giggled behind Ban. "Thanks. I'm gonna go up and get some rest."

I wasn't lying. I was gonna go get some rest.

Elizabeth~

My eyes had felt like they've been lit on fire so I ran to rinse with cold water.

Only to stay stuck there staring at two foreign orbs I call mine. They were not my natural blue or my golden holy ones.. instead my pupils narrowed, my irises were flooded with blood red and the Triskele that was in my right eye glowed the gold color I had been used to seeing since Ren.

The sight scared me. This has never happened before.

"Elizabeth.."

I slowly turned myself to look at him. His eyes widened. "Meliodas I have no idea what's going on." His hand stretched to caress my face while his body followed.

"Ellie something weird has been going on since we spoke to your mom.."
