Chapter 2: Real Identity

Daniel was still unsure of Jiwon's identity, so he decided to do a bit of research. He opened his social media on his phone and started searching for the name "Jiwon Park." However, he wasn't able to find Jiwon's profile.

Daniel turned to Jiwon, "Why can't I see you on this platform? How was I supposed to know who you are?"

"I already told you, I'm Jiwon. And I don't think you can find my account there." Jiwon replied while watching Daniel scroll on the cellphone. "It's also unlikely that you'll see me there…because if that were possible, I would have added you a long time ago."

Daniel shook his head, still overwhelmed by the situation. "This is all too much for me. I don't know what to believe," he said, raising his voice slightly. "This is all so weird- this mysterious body and this mysterious girl in my house. How were you able to enter when the door was locked?"

"I'm as confused as you, I really don't know why this is happening," Jiwon replied, frustrated.

"Just go home, your parents must be worrying right now."

"I really have nowhere to go. My family isn't here, and I have no place to stay. You're the only one I can ask for help."

Daniel was still hesitant, "I don't want to get involved with someone who might be a criminal or who's running from the police," he said, panicked. "I don't want to be imprisoned. My mom needs me."

"Stop it, I'm not a criminal," Jiwon replied, trying to calm Daniel down. "I can't even fight back."

"Argh!" Daniel dropped the cellphone and stood up.

Jiwon pouted and picked up the phone. As she scrolling, she was stunned when she saw something.

"Wait!" Jiwon raised her index finger to stop Daniel from panicking. "How did this happen?" she asked as she showed a picture of a girl who looked exactly like her but had a different last name.

"Don't fool me, that's you!" Daniel replied, pointing at the photo.

"I'm Jiwon Park, not Jiwon Seo," Jiwon argued, but Daniel remained doubtful.

"You're Jiwon Seo, and wait- you were studying at my former school?"

"I'm Jiwon Park for God's sake! Aargh!" She grabbed her head in frustration. But she took a deep breath to calm herself down. "Let's just make a deal. Let's chat with this person and when she didn't replied, it means I'm Jiwon Seo, BUT IF SHE REPLIED I will stay by your side. Deal?"

Daniel sighed and chatted Jiwon Seo's account. Jiwon bit her finger, nervously. They waited for a few minutes for it to reply and they were shocked because it answered right away.

"Deal." Jiwon Park said, after Jiwon Seo replied.

Daniel hesitated for a moment, torn between his concerns and his empathy for Jiwon's situation. Finally, he relented, "Alright, you can stay, but I need to be sure you're not hiding something. I'll help you, but only if you promise to tell me the truth…and you'll keep my secret?" Daniel asked.

Jiwon nodded gratefully, relieved that she would have a place to stay. "Thank you, I really appreciate it," she said, "I promise to be honest with you, and keep your secret. You're the only one who can help me live in this world, anyway."

"You're weird, do you know that?"

"You too."

Jiwon realized that this was going to be harder than she thought. She was in an unfamiliar world, living with someone who didn't fully trust her. She didn't know how she had ended up here or when, if ever, she would be able to return to her world. But she was determined to make the best of the situation and do whatever she needed to do to survive.

Daniel left Jiwon with his second body as he went out. She's not sure where he went, but he returned home with a bruise on his face.

Jiwon recall the specific episode when he saw his hair done, and came into conclusion that Zack Lee already punched him.

"My face is all over the internet," Small Daniel said, feeling down about the situation.

Jiwon comforted him, saying, "Don't worry, it'll all blow over. People will forget it too."

As we watched the viral video of the assault, Daniel said, "That guy's blow very hurts, I barely saw his fist coming," he said simultaneously holding his cheek.

"He's a pro-boxer…I mean, he looks like a pro-boxer."

"I'm getting scared of you. Are you an alien?" Daniel wondered.

"What about you? Are you a soul shifter?" Jiwon joked in response, smiling.

"Take a rest and make sure you are not a criminal." Feeling tired from the confusing events of the night, Daniel went to sleep, while Jiwon stayed by his side to keep the secret.

I don't know why this is happening to me, but I'm very happy to be with you, Daniii~

Danggg, am I really here? In Lookism? It means…Johan…Johan Seong is here. Oh, I can't wait to see him and accompany him to get expensive shoes!
