The next day, Hyemi and the boys were at the cafeteria, eating lunch together while goofing around, trying to cheer up Hyemi, which worked.

While they were joking, talking, laughing loudly like the loud teenagers they were, Jeno suddenly appeared while holding a bento box and everyone went silent.

He was about to sit down in between Donghyuck and Jaemin but they put their bags between them first.

"The heck... Dude let me sit down." Jeno said and was about to get their bags but Jaemin and Donghyuck grab them first and held them in placed.

"Sorry but we don't have room for one extra anymore." Donghyuck said but he didn't even dare look a Jeno.

"What the fuck did I do?" Jeno said in an confused voice.

"You broke my sister's heart and left her for a slut you just started talking to a couple weeks ago while she was there for you for almost 13 fucking years, Jeno." Jaemin said in an angry voice.

Then Jeno's expression went angry, "Do I look like I care? Minju in not a slut, she's better than Hyemi, she's got everything Hyemi doesn't."

Hyemi was then at verge of tears and Renjun noticed it and pulled Hyemi close to him and hugged her, assuring her that everything's gonna be fine and she doesn't deserve a bitch like Jeno while placing kisses on the top her head occasionally.

The other two maknaes, Jisung and Chenle, were just watching the scene happening in front of them, not knowing what to do feeling worried for Hyemi and how emotionally and mentally hurt she was.

"This bitch." Jaemin said and stood and punched Jeno. At how hard Jaemin punched Jeno, Jeno fell onto the ground and lost grip with the bento box he was holding, luckily the food didn't spill.

(well it should have tho, sorry not sorry Jeno)

Donghyuck then Jaemin back when he was about to beat up Jeno.

"Stop Jaem, he's not worth the time." Donghyuck said while looking at Jeno coldly.

"You bitch, I trusted you with my sister, I trusted you to take care of her whenever I'm not around, I trusted you on everything with her and yet you broke her heart." Jaemin said in a loud voice.

"Again, Do I look like I care? It's her feelings not mine, besides Minju's way better." Jeno said.

"If that hoe's way better then Hyemi, how about you leave us alone and go have lunch with her." Jaemin said.

"You know what, I will." Jeno said as he got up, grabbed his bento box and he walked away.

As the whole scene was happening, Hyemi suddenly remembered how Jeno and here met and how their friendship started.

Flashback 12 years ago

5 year old Hyemi was sitting on the swing in the playground all alone.

She had no friends at that time and it made her feel sad that all the other kids in the playground were having fun with other while she was all alone.

Suddenly, 7 year old Jeno appeared in front of her, "Hi, I'm Lee Jeno! What's your name?" Jeno joyfully greeted Hyemi while showing off his famous eyesmile.

"Oh... Uhm... I'm Na Hyemi, nice to meet you...." Hyemi said, shyly.

"Why are you all alone?" Jeno said and he bent down to match the girl's view.

"Oh... I don't have anyone to play with, I don't have friends...." Hyemi said and Jeno frowned.

"Well we can be friends, I'll play with you." Jeno said and Hyemi's face light up.

"Really?!" Hyemi asked.

"Of course, we can be friends starting now and we'll never separate." Jeno said.

"Yayyy!!" Hyemi smiled showing off her dimples as she threw arms up in the air.

"Now let's go play." Jeno said as he grabbing Hyemi's wrist and dragged her to the seesaw.

Then they started being bestfriends since then.

'That's how it all started..' Hyemi thought while crying as she remembered everything.

Hyemi was the pencil, Jeno was the highlighter, Hyemi drew her world and Jeno made it brighter but eventually that highlighter dried out and Hyemi is finding someone new to brighten up her world.
