Burning Blue Leaf Shinobi

Chapter 2

Y/N along with Sasuke and Sakura hid in trees and bushes nearby counseling their presence. Kakashi was rather impressed by how these three were able to hide. However, Naruto, on the other hand, decided to fight Kakashi head-on. Y/N saw this from the tree across the river nearby with a disappointed look.

Y/N: Stupid idiot. He'll lose quickly. No effort needed.

Naruto tried to fight him using taijutsu as Kakashi simply blocked them while reading his book. As he tried to land an attack Kakashi got behind him using the technique called A Thousand Years of Death sending him flying into the river. Seeing this Y/N examined what happened as he thought to himself.

Y/N: He's strong. Better be careful. Jounin are strong and powerful. Uncle Kehira was tough during training. Kakashi will be difficult.

Naruto came out of the river after throwing two shurikens at him rather exhausted.

Kakashi: What are you doing now? Said a bit unimpressed. You won't get lunch if don't take a bell by noon.

Naruto: I know I know already!

Kakashi: You look pretty wobbly for someone who's going to surpass the Hokage.

Naruto: You told us not to eat breakfast! How can I fight you when I'm starving to death!

Y/N stomach growled as he kept a straight face.

Y/N 'thought': I really wanted food but can't cause of this crap. Better be careful when I have to fight him.

Y/N looked at the river as he sensed something. Suddenly several copies of Naruto jumped from the river and charged at Kakashi. Y/N was a bit impressed by this but seeing Naruto overconfidence, he could see that he wasn't going to win at all. However, he watched patiently from the tree watching the next few events unfold as he found them to be rather disappointing. IN the end, Naruto fell for a trap as he hung upside down from a tree while Y/N shook his head in disappointment.

Kakashi: Think before you used a Jutsu otherwise your opponent might use it against you. Said as he picked up the bell. Oh and if the baits obvious, don't take it.

Naruto grew very annoyed by this as Y/N smirked.

Y/N 'thought': For an idiot, you are clearly the dumbest one here. Try using your head for once. He's a Jounin for a reason. If you can't take this seriously Naruto, you will never be Hokage.

He continued to watch the two of them talk when he saw that he let his guard down. Seeing this, Y/N reached for his kunai but stopped as he saw shurikens come from the tree behind him. They struck Kakashi as he started to fall to the ground. However, Y/N held his hand over his kunai while blending into the tree more as he knew something was wrong. The next thing that happened was that Kakashi was replaced by a log which confirmed his suspicion.

Y/N: Substitution. Said as he looked around. Where now?

He stayed where he is as he could see Sasuke fleeing as Sakura followed him. After a few moments of waiting, he leaped from the tree landing on the ground as he walked over to Naruto.

Naruto: Hey Y/N get me down from here!

Y/N: Why? Said folding his arms. You're reckless.

Naruto: No I'm not!! I can be him no problem, Believe it!

Y/N: Learn, idiot. Said as he tossed a kunai at the rope.

Naruto fell onto the ground landing on his head. When he stopped up, he took one step as he got caught in the same trap again.

Naruto: Argh! What the hell! I feel for it again!
