«Byakuya Togami»
"MAKOTO! MAKOTO!"
No. He can't be dead. Please. Please. But the train- it must have crushed him- but-
There he is. Alive. On the middle platform. Happy tears spring to my eyes, and I reach out-
but someone else grabs him by the neck.
"Junko-" I yell. She seizes his neck, holding a bloody knife to his air pipe.
"Let him go!" I shout helplessly. The platform is too narrow to jump across without knocking them off. Oh! The gun! I rip it out of my pocket, asking for Junko's head.
"Let him go. NOW." I shout.
Junko giggles. "No, the fun's ONLY just started~ I want to watch you all squirm in your own despair!" She waves her arms in a showbiz manner, as Makoto's face goes blue.
The helplessness turns to rage. I load the gun and shoot at the tracks, the harsh bangs a warning. I turn the gun on her.
"LET HIM GO."
"No!" Junko blows me a kiss. "Now shut up, I'm trying to think! Do I kill Makoto now, or kidnap him!"
"You wouldn't." I growl. I'm so helpless- what can I do? Nothing.
"I would! Ok, let's-"
BANG
Her body crumples, falling to the floor. Her eyes stream with wordless tears, as she looks up at me-
And bursts out laughing.
"You-" She gasps through hysterics. "You- haha- thought It would be THAT easy-" She laugh. "Bulletproof armour exists, dumbass!" She shrieks.
"Why are you doing this?!" I scream at her.
"Why not? For despair! It's the only fucking thing I feel anymore." Her eyes close in pleasure. "Despair is the most powerful emotion. It takes over everything. I just want to feel something-"
"Ok, I've made my decision." She releases Makoto. He scrambles forwards- but Junko pushes him to the floor, her boot pressing into his back.
"Goodbye Makoto!"
She kicks him onto the tracks, laughing. She jumps down too- just as the clattering begins.
"Wait-" I scream. I leap over, my long legs clearing the jump.
CLOSER.
"Makoto!"
Junko fiddles with something on the floor- a trapdoor and-
CLOSER.
A bomb. She toys with it, and pulls Makoto down the trapdoor.
CLOSER.
The bomb ticks down. I need to Get our. I NEED TO GET O-
