~ SUMMARY ~
Remake of the 1999 TV series of Hunter x Hunter based on the manga by Togashi Yoshihiro. A Hunter is one who travels the world doing all sorts of dangerous tasks. From capturing criminals to searching deep within uncharted lands for any lost treasures. Gon is a young boy whose father disappeared long ago, being a Hunter. He believes if he could also follow his father's path, he could one day reunite with him. After becoming 12, Gon leaves his home and takes on the task of entering the Hunter exam, notorious for its low success rate and high probability of death to become an official Hunter. He befriends the revenge-driven Kurapica, the doctor-to-be Leorio and the rebellious ex-assassin Killua in the exam, with their friendship prevailing throughout the many trials and threats they come upon taking on the dangerous career of a Hunter. If you're homophobic, ignore this suggestion alright? Because I am 100% certain the two main characters are gay for each other. Hell, everyone knows they are. It is a beautiful slow burn.
The arcs themselves are pretty badass. Each one develops each character beautifully, especially Killua. He is such a little ball of angst half the time and it's hella obvious he's in love with Gon.
God, I don't know how to describe Togashi's masterpiece without giving away anything. It's beautiful, really. I know this is a horribly vague way to get you onto this, but please. The first season's plot is enticing enough by simply introducing a different world and a kid making new friends. Watching these relationships deepen and seeing how serious it can get is...idk how to describe it. I don't wanna over exaggerate and say life changing but honestly...
Especially during season 5 holy shit And 4 ... and 1,2,3, and 6
