The Letters

A/N: This is their first year at hogwarts)

-LILY-

I woke up to some shouting. It was my Mother, shouting out that I got a letter and she didn't know who it was from. I yelled "COMING MUM". I ran down the stairs in my pjs, and took the letter from the kitchen. On the front, it had purple was seal with a  picture of a lion, a snake, a badger and a eagle surrounding a large 'H'. Lily opened it, It read;

HOGWARTS SCOOL OF WITCHCRAFT AND WIZARDARY

Headmaster: Albus Dumbledore

(Order of Merlin, first class, Grand Sorc., Chf. Warlock, Supreme Mugwump, International Confed. of Witches)

Dear Miss Evans,

We are pleased to inform you that you have a place at Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardary. Please find enclosed a list of all necessary books and equipment. Term starts on 1 September. We await your Owl by no later then 31 July.

UNIFORM

First-year students will require:

1. three sets of plain work robes (black)

2.One plain pointed hat (black) for day wear

3.One pair of protective gloves (dragon hide or similar)

4. One winter cloak (black, silver fastenings)

please note that pupil's should carry name tags
