Some dialogue from Rogue One was used.

Rebel Base
Jess

Days had passed since they'd returned from the Imperial Ball. Everything had flown by in a whirl. Jess headed towards the command center with Ryn and Feylin at his side. Zel was staying with Arwen again during the meeting. Azie whistled behind them, urging them on faster.

Cassian, Jyn, and several others had returned to the base shortly after the disastrous attack on Galen Erso's research facility. Before that, Jedha had been destroyed, resulting in Saw Guerrera's death. The Rebellion was scrambling to make their plans before the Empire could strike again.

The meeting was already beginning as they entered. Jess led the way towards Admiral Raddus's group. They took their places near the back of the room and began to listen.

"Are we really talking about disbanding something we've worked so hard to create?" Senator Organa asked in reply to someone's previous statement.

"We can't just give in!" Admiral Raddus agreed.

"What are they talking about?" Jess whispered to a woman next to him.

"Senator Pamlo wants to scatter our fleets," she replied. He nodded and went back to listening.

"We joined an alliance, not a suicide pact!" Senator Vaspar exclaimed.

Senator Organa leaned his hands against the large holotable, still calm. "We've only now managed to gather our forces."

"Gather our forces?" Senator Jebel scoffed. "General Draven's already blown up an Imperial base."

Jess glanced at Ryn. She was watching the Senators intently. Draven was scrambling to defend himself. Jess couldn't help but feel satisfied at the chastisement.

"If it's war you want, you'll fight alone," Senator Pamlo said at last.

"Then why have an alliance at all?" Vaspar placed his hands on his hips, angrily.

Admiral Raddus shook his head. "If she's telling the truth, we need to act now!"

"Counselors, please," Mon Mothma interrupted.

"It's simple. The Empire has the means of mass destruction," General Merrik said, sounding resigned. "The Rebellion does not."

"A Death Star. This is nonsense," Jebel groaned.

Jyn leaned forward, her eyes full of pleading. "What reason would my father have to lie? What benefit would it bring him?"

"To lure our forces into a final battle to destroy us once and for all," Draven snapped. Jess clenched his fist.

Even after what we heard at the Imperial meeting, they still won't accept the facts? Jess thought. This is ridiculous. What's the point of having leaders who are to afraid to lead us?

"We'd risk everything, based on what? The testimony of a criminal and the dying words of her father, an Imperial scientist?" Vaspar asked.

"Oh, and don't forget the Imperial pilot," someone snapped.

"My father gave his life so that we might have a chance to defeat this!" Jyn protested.

General Dodonna sighed. "So you've said."

"If the Empire has this kind of power, what chance do we have?" Pamlo asked.

Jyn looked at her, surprised. "What chance do we have? The question is what choice. Run, hide, plead for mercy, scatter your forces. You give way to an enemy this evil with this much power and you condemn the galaxy to an eternity of submission! The time to fight is now! Every moment you waste is another step closer to the ashes of Jedha!"
