today's the day. the day i move away from all my friends in new york and start a new life somewhere. let me tell you how i got here. i was born 13.02.2004. yes i'm only 16 my name is riley and i live in new york. my dad left when he found out my mum was pregnant with me what a dick. i have no clue who and where he is and tbh i dont want to know. my mum was arrested yesterday for abusing me. i never spoke up about it until i got enough courage to speak to my bestfriend mads. she rang the police now my mum is going down for 2 years quite annoying it's not longer but i'll be out of the country. i am getting adopted by this family on this island called outer banks. i just wanna go turn 18 then move back. i'm gonna really miss my bestfriend she's like my sister. i also have a brother but my dad took him with him somewhere. anyways back to now today is the day i leave. i've allready said goodbye to mads which was very emotional. i got on the plane and sat down. i was on my own in first class i'm guessing my new family are rich. yay. i settle down and grab my diary
dear diary,
today i left. i'm not looking forward to going so i'm gonna set some rules to hopefully get through this easier
rule one- no boys no falling in love no heartbreak.

i used to have a boyfriend but he raped me and abused me many years ago. i've not had the best life and sometimes these issues do affect me still but it's in the past.
