Hey, so this is Steve's chapter, I imagine Natasha to actually be really human when you get to know her, so some of this made sense. It's what we don't seem to think makes us human. Hope you enjoy it! I don't own Marvel or any of its characters. Reviews are appreciated!

Steve didn't really know what to make of the two assassins. They were both outright deadly in their own right.

Natasha had saved his life numerous times a few months back, but Clint was also deadly with that bow and quiver.

It hadn't escaped his notice that when he and Natasha were on the run from HYDRA, she had been wearing an arrow necklace. She had played with it when she was thinking.

She had been on the phone to someone before they went on the run, talking in a tongue that Steve could not understand. He hadn't thought about it then, but now he realized that Clint could speak more languages than he had initially thought. He knew he could speak other languages like Spanish and french because he had heard the two of them conversing secretly in them. But now he realized that he spoke Russian also, after hearing them in the Shwarma place after the battle in New York.

It fascinated him that they were so connected that they knew each other's strengths and weaknesses and could even tell what they were going to do next.

Steve decided to head down to the gym, the duo of assassin's relationship still on his mind. To his surprise, they were both in the gym themselves. Fighting ridiculously hard, throwing punches and kicks like no tomorrow- which was always a possibility. But no punches or kicks actually landed, they were always blocked or countered by one another. Steve watched in awe as Clint threw a punch straight at Natasha's head, but Natasha caught his arm and used it as leverage to pull herself over his torso so she was perched on top of his shoulders. Clint, realising she was going to lean backwards to choke him, reached up and pulled on her fiery locks. She squealed in surprise and instead leant forward, sending them both tumbling to the floor.

"Clint!" she cried, "That's not fair!"

"why not, it helps me beat you" Clint was smirking at Natasha, and she charged at him before turning a split second before hitting him and aimed a kick at his chest, he flew to the other end of the mat and lay there for a second- winded.

"Hey!" he panted, in between heavy breaths "What was that for?".

"You know full well what", she giggled as she pulled him to his feet.

"Well just for that," he pulled her into his chest and tickled underneath her armpits, she squealed loudly and pulled her arm close to her chest.

"Clint, no tickling!". So he stopped and led her off the mat, but not before poking her in the ribs.

She huffed at him before flicking the back of his head sharply "идиот" she muttered before she noticed a figure in the doorway.

Within a second, she had a gun pointed at Steves's forehead. Steve came through the door, arms raised "Just me" he said, watching the Russian relax before stating "Sorry Steve, just jumpy", and with that, she picked up her duffel bag and walked out of the gym elegantly, Clint not far behind.

Steve stood there in shock, not because of the gun, but because of what he had just witnessed. Someone had pulled the black widow's hair, AND had tickled her, and had made it out alive. He realised then how close they must be because if anyone else came within spitting distance of Natasha, she had her guard up.

He had just proved that, so what happened to make them so close?
