~ chapter 16 ~

it's now a few months later, me and jaden are great and everyone, especially bryce, was happy to hear we are together, me and bryce have gotten even closer if that's even possible, tayler has become good friends with the boys, charli has gotten closer with some other girls but we are still friends, my mums drinking hasn't gotten any better, if anything it has gotten worse, she's been going out in the middle of the night, i don't like being in my house because of it so i talked to me dad and i now stay with him aswell, i alternate weeks the only disadvantage is my new step sister (megan), she's my age but doesn't go to my school, she's thinks she better then me, although i heard her on the phone to her friend telling her about how much she loved jaden hossler and he was her tiktok crush, whoops 😂, but i have a step brother (ethan) who is a year older and he's great, he also gets along with anthony amazingly so that's okay
it's currently friday evening, i'm at my dads without anthony because he's out with bryce and we are eating dinner, my dad knows i've invited jaden to stay the night, god megan's gonna love this, i don't know weather i'm doing this to annoy her to or to gain her friendship
"so morgan, what time is your boyfriend getting here?" my dad asks, since my dad moved out me and him have actually gotten a lot closer and i've drifted from my mum but i still love her
"he should be here soon" i replied
"please just be safe" my step mum claire says to me, i know my mum doesn't like her but she's always been nice to me and helped me out "always" was my reply, i've said on multiple occasions that me and jaden aren't having sex yet but at the end of the day, i'm a 17 year old girl with a 18 year old boyfriend, i understand why they say it
"i still can't believe you even have a boyfriend" megan says snarky emphasising the 'you'
"megan give it up, you don't even have a boyfriend" ethan defended me and i smiled "stop with the nasty comments both of you" claire said as she looked at them, she's really wants her kids to get along with me because she knows if i'm that uncomfortable with it all my dad will pick me over her "i'm so sorry morgan" she continued "it's okay" i response with a smile, i heard a knock at the front door and excused myself to go to the door, i opened the door and was greeted by the wide smile of the black haired boy i'd grown to love, wait love?
"hey princess" he said as he pulled me into a hug and kissed my head "hey hossler" i responded as i pulled out of the hug "time to meet my dad and step family, ill warn you, megan's a diva" i continued as i grabbed his hand as i led him into the dining room where everyone was, megan was looking at her phone and didn't even notice me walk in with jaden, my dad and claire smiled at me and ethan looked jaden up and down then looked at me with a sarcastic 'really him' look and i laughed quietly
"guys this is my boyfriend, jaden" i ask as my dad and claire stood up and came over to jaden, megan still hasn't raised her head and ethan came over to me "he seems nice also" he then whispers the last part "is this jaden hossler?" i nodded and he laughed "megan's gonna flip" he said and we both laughed, i looked over at jaden and he is laughing along with my dad and claire, my dad noticed and comes over to me
"i don't know where you found him, but i love him already" my dad said smiling "thanks dad" i replied, i then heard claire shout "megan, come meet jaden" megan's rolls her eyes and stand up, when she looks up and sees jaden hossler with his hand around my waist she freaks "i- urm, ahem, i- i'm such a big fan" she stutters and i decide to be nice instead of a bitch "jaden this is my step sister megan, megan this is jaden, my boyfriend" i said introducing jaden to her but not so much her to jaden, i couldn't help but emphasise the fact that he was my boyfriend "ye no shit" megan said and jaden laughed "one minute i need to call jess and tell her that jaden fricking hossler is in my house" megan squealed as she walked it the other side of the room to facetime jess, me and jaden laugh and talk for a bit longer, jaden seems to be getting along with ethan really well which makes me happy, after a while i decide to take jaden up to my room, it's bland and basic but that's because i haven't decorated it yet
"okay... this isn't what i was expecting" jaden said when we walked in "ye, i haven't really had much time to decorate it, i spend most of my days at my dads either with my dad and claire or with ethan so i'm only really in here when i'm sleeping" i replied
"ohh okay, so what do you wanna do" jaden said throwing himself onto my bed "i don't know, movies?" i responded and he nodded excitedly as i threw him the tv remote and changed into some sweats (specifically jadens from his bag) and a sports bra and sat next to him
"hey i wanted to wear them" he said noticing my joggers "oops" i said giggling and he laughed as he pulled me into him "they look better on you anyway" i giggled and we watched some disney, we ended up watching 'UP' which ofcourse made me cry multiple times, the deep meaning on that movie is just upsetting, jaden began to sit up pulling me with him, he turned to face me
"so, i don't mean to intrude but you seam to get along with your stepmom better than your actual mom" jaden said quietly as if he didn't want to upset me "i mean i guess, i've always kinda been neglected by my parents but claire has made a really good influence on my dad and me and him are closer now and she's been really lovely to me and i know she could never replace my mum but my mums in such a rough patch and i don't like being around her but i know i have to be there to keep her safe" i respond, not realising how much i just opened up, it felt like a weight was lifted off my shoulder "sorry i'm rambling" i said quietly "no no please, get everything off your chest" jaden said as he held my hand
"i really want to be there for my mum but she's making it hard but i'm worried, not only for my mum but for anthony, if she doesn't sort herself out he's going to blame himself and that's the last think he needs, i just want to be there for everyone, i'm trying to maintain a bond with both my parents plus my step family, then there is both my friendship groups but one of them i have drifted with but i don't want to because they're my bestfriends but i also love the boys so much, and it's just a lot to deal with" i blurted our and then sighed, jaden was right it felt good saying it out loud to another person, someone who won't judge me
"you know, i'm proud of you, you make everyone happy and manage to keep yourself happy, your pursuing your music, and you're doing well with it, you also have so many people that love you, your parents, your step family, anthony, the boys, dixie, avani, charli, me- " he was about to continue but he stopped himself "huh?" i asked, did he just admit that he loved me? maybe it was a figure of speech
"no- ye, i do, morgan, i love you" jaden said pasting a smile across his face which made me smile "i love you too hossler" i replied and he pulled me into a hug and then a kiss, a very passionate kiss but our beautiful moment was destroyed by ethan walking in
"dude!" i yelled as he stood there gawking at what he walked into, like calm down, we're all still fully clothed "so- sorry" he said "why are you here E" i asked him "i- can't remember" he said with a laugh as he left and i shouted "knock next time" and we all laughed, i looked at jaden and smiled, he smiled back and we snuggled up, the moment was ruined but honestly, i'm glad me and jaden didn't go further, i have never done anything with someone i love, i didn't love tony, not like i love jaden, we put peter pan on and fell asleep
