Jar full of lies

So much quieter, so much louder,
She said she heard, she said she spoke,
All of the words inside her head,
A place where no one could go.

She stood outside the circle,
Watched the connecting dots,
In between the struggle,
She felt like an empty cardboard box.

A small gasp, a choked whisper,
She called out for help,
But no one would come to her.

Minutes ticked by as she replayed,
The moments she spent holding them up,
So they wouldn't go astray.

Now she has fallen, she looks around,
Eyes sullen, nothing to be found,
She said at last, shattering the soundproof walls,
"Where are you now? It was a lie I knew,
I held you through the rain,
Because that is what humans do."

She screamed in agony, as the pain taunted her now dry lips,
She felt the felony,
As they pretended not to see,
Her maroon blood drip

She curled herself into a cocoon,
Running away from the infernal,
Which inside her grew, grew and grew,
And erupted into flames,
That she could never extinguish.

No more was she an empty box,
But a cold dead sin,
That they committed,
Looked into her mother's eyes and said,
"We wish we knew her the way you did"

'Mother don't listen, they've got a jar full of lies',
She said, a floating silhouette,
Words echoing through the grey milky skies.

'One last look', down at the three weeping souls,
While the others stood by,
Hiding their non existent hearts,
Black as coal.

Descensing into the cold frozen dirt,
She felt the chills lift the curse,
As she felt happiness like never before,
"I'll meet you there" she whispered to the three weeping souls.
