"Percy!"
The ravenette tried to burrow inside her blankets at the singsong voice of Megan.
"Rise and shine, Percy!" Susan's voice joined in.
The blankets were snatched from her, making her sit up with her nose wrinkled like an irked kitten. She narrowed her eyes at the girls.
"Wake up, Percy! You're late!" Eric hollered, clad in his black robes.
She let out an expletive at the clock and threw off her blankets. Her neck felt sore from sleeping on the couch all night. She had claimed the couch in the common room after the tapestry mysteriously showing up on her bed. Her housemates didn't mind her. They understood how she felt after seeing her run like a mad person the other day. Unfortunately, they didn't have any extra beds or dorms and few had even offered her their bed for the couch which she had refused the next moment.
She sprinted to her dorm ignoring the laughter of her housemates. Thirty minutes had passed when she reappeared. Her tie was awkwardly tied around her neck and her robe hung by her satchel. She had tried to flatten her chaotic hair by running her hand through it but it still stuck to one side as if she had been through a cyclone.
Ignoring her housemates' stares, she exited the common room to see her friends. The location of all the common rooms was well known to everyone after the war as students from different houses seeked consolation from each other on the darkest of days.
"Morning." Astoria chirped.
Percy could never comprehend how the younger girl managed to be so lively and chirpy in the morning. "Mor-" she brought her hand to her mouth as she let out a yawn. "Morning." She rubbed her eyes tiredly.
"A very good morning. You seem as wide awake as ever." Draco teased.
"Oh shut up." She muttered as the others laughed. Shrugging on her robe and wrapping her scarf around her neck, she groaned rolling her neck to loosen her stiff muscles.
"That's why you should not sleep on a couch." Hannah appeared behind her followed by Susan and Megan.
"Whatever." She muttered. "I need my coffee." On cue, she let out another yawn. She walked in the direction of the Great Hall, not caring whether her friends followed her or not. The only rational thing in her mind was coffee, black coffee.
"Why would she be sleeping on the couch?" Daphne queried the badgers.
"You guys know about the tapestry, right?" At their nods, she continued. "She doesn't even like to look at her bed. That's why she took the couch."
