i mean... they're kinda like the same person because mephiles just comes from shadow's, well... shadow? and for some reason i genuinely like ships where the characters are technically the same person, so... and they interact a lot in sonic '06 so it's not a terrible ship. it could work, although i have no idea how old mephiles is supposed to be because i guess he's like a spirit or something?
