for the angry

6 2 1

i worked hard to forgive my

bones

for this anger towards

myself

i sat with my discomfort, the

burns lining my throat after i

set my own

insides on fire

i learned that pouring hatred

into my heart was a learned

behavior

that you had been teaching me

self-hatred for years

i worked hard to forgive my

bones

for this anger towards myself

but you

oh

how hard I've worked for this

anger

towards you
