Why fans hated JYPE

-did not let Universal Love participate in the JYP Family Special stage at the kbs song festival

Fans were very angered at this because they were the only active group to not participate. The girls had no schedule on this day so it's not like they were busy with something important. Fans also were upset because this must have hurt the girl's feelings or affected them in some way.

-never sent them to isaac despite yona and harin voicing their wish to participate

Fans had always wished to see them participate at ISSAC, it's a way to see them show their talents, have fun, and interact with other idols. Fans kept saying that maybe they just don't want to send them yet because it's not time for them to go (like what?) but this was just said so fans can keep faith that someday they'll see their four girls there.
But everyone got pressed when Stray Kids (rookies) were sent before Universal Love. It was nothing against Skz, it was just that it shows how much other groups are prioritized over Universal Love.

-didn't have them on many shows or radios for their comebacks

Many kpop fans can wait for their fabs to have a comeback because that means more music and more content, but sadly that's not the case for Universal Love.
The majority of their content came from the Universal Vlogs they did, and even then they were never longer than 15 minutes.

-universal loves image was so different and more sexy than most jype groups so they were never promoted as much because of it

Though this was never confirmed, but EVERYONE knows that the girls were never promoted as much as they should've been by JYPE because their image as a group was greatly different from other company groups like Twice and GOT7.

-took no sponsorships offered to the girls or group

Despite many companies and brands reaching out to JYPE to have Universal Love be ambassadors and promoters for products, we NEVER saw them in promote anything.

-no promotion outside of korea or japan

Internacional fans were always saddened by how little the girls were promoted over seas. You'd think if they weren't going to be promoted properly in Korea at least give them some promotion somewhere else.

-jype didn't reveal that the group was under a 5 year contract until the disbandment was announced

JYPE had the members of Universal Love under a "experimental" contract, which meant that in the five years of the group being active, if they don't meet popularity and net income expectations then they will be disbanded earlier than a group under a general contract would.
Fans were angry at this information because the first thing they thought was why did they get rid if Estrella if the group only had one more year left of the contract and then they could've just chosen to not resign her, and the second thing was that this was done to get rid of the girls quicker and with Estrella no longer in the group they can just excuse it by saying that they chose not to re-offer another contract because of them no longer being popular.
This was also very upsetting because long time fans had expected Universal Love to be around for longer.
