(A/N: Hi! Author here. This chapter will be a little more into Crypto's suspicion of Solara. Maybe introducing something else between the two- enemies? Friends? FRENEMIES?? *commentator voice* Read the following to find out!)

(A/N #2: I know that was cringy. I'm awkward, don't come for me).

"Let's give it up for our champion, eh?" Makoa said happily, pouring a glass of something and sliding it towards Solara. She sniffed it.

"Oh, I don't drink alchohol." She said politely, handing the drink back to Makoa, who smiled warmly and drank it himself. "That's alright, sistah! We appreciate a non-alcoholic around heah." He laughed a hearty laugh.

"Okashī. Anata wa arukōru o kyohi suru hito no yō ni wa miemasen." Tae Joon said quietly enough so that no one else heard, but loud enough for Solara to hear. Solara swallowed bile and tugged at the neckline of her red long sleeved semi crop shirt. She really wanted Crypto and Loba to trust her. But she didn't know how to make them. Instead she sighed and rolled her eyes, pretending she knew what Tae Joon said, which earned her a wide-eyed stare from Tae Joon. Satisfied and tired from today's events, she stood up and smiled at the group of legends and yawned.

"Well, I'm absolutely exhausted. I'm gonna get to bed." She said with a wave. Then she disappeared down the hallway into her room.

"She's nice." Pathfinder said, ever the optimist. Tae Joon rolled his eyes and stood up as well.

"I'm off to bed too. Oyasumi." He said as he quickly exited the room, not at all tired. He was going to investigate the new girl. His gaze caught on her as she was walking down the hall. Staying a good distance behind so she wouldn't suspect him, he followed her as she walked on. Right past her room.

I knew it. She's up to something. He thought. But what is she doing?

He jumped as she paused, then started humming. He quietly scoffed at himself for being such a fool. Oh my, she's humming- totally suspicious! He thought sarcastically. She turned a corner, headed towards the entrance to the firing range. Why the firing range?

When he peeked around the corner, he saw her open the door across from the one leading to the firing range. The drop ship's library. She's probably looking up information. It has to be for her brother. After she disappeared inside, he held the door before it closed and slipped inside the dimly lit room. She stopped humming. He saw her walking down an aisle, running her hands over the spines of the books, staring around in awe. He could swear that there was an orange glow around her, but she could have had a little light with her. She certainly didn't look suspicious of anything. Tae Joon's confidence that she was working with her brother was wavering, just a little bit. She couldn't be trusted.

She disappeared behind a corner, heading for the corner of the library, where the lights didn't work. The idiot, Elliott, didn't like to go there. It was 'haunted', he said. Tae Joon held back a scoff. He followed where she went, only to find that she wasn't there anymore. The orange glow gone.

"Why were you following me?" A voice echoed from behind him. He practically jumped a mile before whipping around to face the new girl, who's face was contorted in a sarcastic smirk. It seemed like she was making fun of him. He hated that.

"Tawagoto. I wasn't following you." He practically spat, desperate to recover. He grabbed the nearest book- "Blood Sport History". On the cover was a drawing of Bloodhound, made by themselves, no doubt. It was Bloodhound's way of claiming a book he wanted to read. He quickly put it back and picked out another one about robotics. "Trying to look up some tips on how to repair Hack." Solara made a sarcastic noise and shifted her body to lean against a book shelf. She yawned and stretched, exposing a bit of her midsection. He felt his stare moving up. Tae Joon immediately blushed and averted his gaze.

"Looking up how to repair your drone, huh? Funny, I'd think you- the creator of the drone- would know a thing or two about drone repair." She shrugged and picked a piece of imaginary lint off of her left sleeve. Tae Joon looked back at her, carefully looking anywhere but her chest, and decided to ignore her snipe, his eyes narrowing with fake hatred that Solara noticed. She held back a smile at his uneasiness.

"Well, why were you here? You said you were going to bed." He pointed out. Solara immediately flushed, her illuminated body providing no way to cover it with shadow whatsoever. Tae Joon saw he had her by the throat- metaphorically- and could make her cough up the info.

"Because, I can stop by the library before bed, can't I?" Solara sniffed, trying to look nonchalant. She shrugged off the wall and rolled her shoulders back, trying to look confident but also trying not to look slutty by pushing her breasts out. She eventually settled on crossing her arms across her chest

"Why do you shift like that?" He asked, trying to make her think he thought she was trying to hide something, though he was trying to use this as as an excuse for his flushing face.

"Why would you ask a question like that?" She fired back defensively.

"Why won't you answer my question?" He snapped.

"Oh, I dunno, probably because I'm a little uncomfortable?" What with being followed and all?" Her glowing body suddenly glowed a little brighter, illuminating more of the area around her. Tae Joon blushed again. Solara noticed and felt her body grow hot. She was probably igniting. Some side effect from Hammond's little experiment on her.

"I wasn't following you!" He argued.

"Oh, don't give me that. You know you're suspicious of me because Revenant is my brother. Just admit it!" She whisper-shouted, exasperated. Tae Joon blew out a breath.

"Jōzu, you can't really blame me, can you?"

"Yes. I can." She said, right before walking out. She grabbed a book near the exit.

"Oh, and by the way. I was trying to get a book about Hammond. I have beef with them, and I'm sure you do, too." She said just before exiting. Tae Joon was still standing in the spot where they had their little exchange, stunned. A few minutes later, he walked out, and straight into the firing range. He grabbed a few weapons and shot at the dummies while they were powered off, thinking of different ways the exchange could have went down. If he hadn't been so snappy? Or if he stopped staring and blushing. Just thinking of that made his cheeks flame. Then he realized as he replayed the end of the conversation. Her trying to look tough, and crossing her arms over her bo- her chest. Always wearing clothing that hid her form, aside from her uniform she wore for the games.

How could he be so inconsiderate? He might be cold and relatively unfeeling, but he knows when to be respectful. He shot down a dummy with extra force, as if that could make up for his stupidity. He should say sorry, but wouldn't that be admitting defeat? Maybe he should sleep on it. Upon that thought, his eyelids felt 10 times heavier. He put his weapons back, exited the range, and trudged to his room, flopping on the messy bed and staring at Hack, who was tucked into his little leather sleeve with the strap slung around the back of the chair he usually sat in to do repairs and whatnot. He tried to think of anything other than her, but even if he found something worth thinking about, it always looped back to the new girl. I hardly even know her name. Was it Sonar? Solar? Solaria I think... Tawagoto).

(A/N: I know I know I know I know I know I know I know. This is not what you came here for, but I promise you, it has everything to do with the plot. Besides, doesn't Crypto need a lil ship besides Wattson, who was already shipped with pretty much every male character in the game besides Caustic and Gibby? ANYWAYS- I want to thank you guys for reading. I honestly probably wouldn't update this book if I didn't have any readers. Stay tuned for next episode, coming tomorrow! Maybe the day after that if I don't have much time).
