INT. DINER – NIGHT

A little bit later, they enter the diner. It is your typical 1950s theme. Even though it is now late at night, the place is packed with people, it is clearly very popular.

Grayson and Lola slip into a booth.

LOLA

I can't believe that I haven't

been here before. This place is

so cool!

GRAYSON

I know right. All it needs

is waitresses on roller skates.

A waiter rolls up to them on roller skates. She hands them both menus.

WAITRESS

Hi, welcome. Here are your menus.

Just to let you know that Friday

is date night here at The Diner

so couples get 10 per cent of

their meals.

LOLA

Oh, oh no. We aren't dating.

The waitress gives them a 'are you serious' look.

WAITRESS

Well, you should be.

For the second time that night, Lola blushes. Grayson tries to hold in a laugh as the waitress leaves.

Once she has left, a lopsided grin appears on his face.

GRAYSON

Maybe the universe is

trying to tell us something.

LOLA

Maybe. What are you thinking

of getting?

Grayson looks down at his menu.

GRAYSON

Erh, I am not sure. I

am not very hungry so maybe

a milkshake?

LOLA

Ooo, I was thinking

the same thing. We are at a

1950s diner, we have to have

milkshakes!

Grayson stops a waiter who is rolling past.

GRAYSON

Hi, are we able to have two

milkshakes?

WAITER

Sure. What flavour?

Grayson looks back at Lola questionably.

LOLA

I'll have strawberry please.

GRAYSON

And I'll have vanilla thanks.

WAITER

Cool. That should be here shortly.

He jots it down on a notepad in his hand and rolls away.

GRAYSON

This is so nice. It reminds me

of old times.

LOLA

Yeah. Me too.

GRAYSON

You know...

(He sits up straight)

There's nothing stopping

us from trying again.

'everytime' begins to play. Grayson begins to sing at verse 1. The other people in the Diner act as a chorus.

Halfway through the song, Grayson and Lola get up on the tables and dance together. Everyone else in the Diner joins in as well as well.

As the song ends Lola and Grayson go in for a kiss. Once the song finishes, they kiss. Everyone else in the diner goes back to normal. Grayson and Lola embrace.
