"Are you sure you should be out of bed? I feel like you should rest."
I smiled, leaning in to kiss Elias on the lips. "I promise, I'm fine. Besides, I have to get up and running before the ball, it's only two days away from now," I said, slightly pulling away from his lips to speak before pressing them to his once again.
"Can you not kiss around me, it's weird now that I know your my sister Grace and Elias is like a brother to me," Andre said has he suddenly walked into the lounge room.
I smiled and sighed, stepping away from Elias but as I did so, I slipped my hand into his.
"How are you holding up?" Elias asked Andre, to which Andre ignored. "Oh come on, you've got to be kidding me Andre, it's been a week and your still angry at me!"
Alessandro entered the room and patted Andre's back. "He'll come right, he just needs some more time to process this information."
"Oh it's processed alright, and it's disgusting."
"Andre," Alessandro scolded in a low voice.
I frowned. "Andre–"
"What Grace?" he snapped.
I took a deep breath, letting go of Elias's hand. "Your one to discriminate," I snapped glaring at Andre, "How about we tell Elias your secret. I have no doubt in my mind he will not act like how your are, your being a big fucking pussy. So what Elias and I are together! You never seemed to care before you found out the truth, in fact you were quite happy about it, so why can't you be like that for us now?"
"Okay Grace, let's just calm down here?" Alessandro said, with a look of seriousness on his face.
"What secret?" Elias asked, looking in-between the three of us.
"Nothing," Alessandro snapped.
I gave Andre a pointed stare.
"Why are we keeping secrets? I thought we were a family."
"Look, all angerness aside for the moment, I came very close to dying a week ago and the ball is coming up in a few days, if anything goes wrong, don't you think it would be better if we all had said things we've always wanted to say so we aren't left with regret."
Andre sighed.
"Your situation is like mine and Elias's, he sees you both as brothers."
Andre sighed again, looking at Alessandro. They stared at each other for a moment, silently deciding between each other before Alessandro nodded his head slightly. The two turned to face us, intertwining their hands together.
Alessandro cleared his throat, his grip on Andre's hand, obviously tightening. "Andre and I have been seeing each other for a while now, we haven't told you in fear of what you might think of us and what you might do to us once you find out, we're sorry we have to tell you like this."
Elias sighed, a small smile on his face.
"I know."
I frowned. "Huh?"
"I've known for a while now, but I wanted the both of you to tell me in your own time, when you were ready to. But Grace did have a point just now."
"Your not angry at us or disgusted!" Andre asked.
"No, why should I be. If you two love each other why should I or anybody else for that matter, stand in your way."
"You knew all this time and never said anything!"
"Yes, of course I did. I'm the leader of this mafia, what good would I be if I didn't."
I stared with my mouth slightly a gap when I saw a tear stream down Alessandro's cheek. "Alessansrdo, are you crying!"
