After Beth drained all her powers for the first time she has to take a couple days off of school because she can't move and James decided to have the meeting later that day because he knows how difficult powers can be for the first time.
Beth slowly walks into her father's office and sits down in his chair waiting for him to enter the room and when he does she gets up from the chair but instead of taking his chair he takes one that's next to her.
"Are you ready for the meeting later today?" James asks.
"No, I'm not ready for this meeting because that means Eric is going to be there and I think he's jealous of Allison and I because he told me that he is my mate too when you told me that we should only have one," Beth says.
