You had been engaged to Josef for a few weeks when you started to feel under the weather. You mentioned how you felt to Robb and he insisted on taking you to see Maester Luwin. Although you tried to assure him that you were fine, you let him take you to the Maester and wait outside of the room for you. You told the Maester of what ailed you. You had been feeling nauseous recently and struggling to sleep and you had failed to have your monthly bleed for the previous two months. When he told you that it was certain that you were with child, you were shocked and excited and for once, Robb wasn't the first person you wanted to tell.
You lied to your best friend for the first time ever. You told him that the Maester had told you to rest and Robb wished you well health before you headed home, excited to tell your fiancé that you were carrying his child.
When you returned home, you found Josef sat at the table eating leftovers from dinner that would likely get you shouted at for not making him a fresh lunch.
"Where have you been?" He huffed, unimpressed with your absence.
"I visited Maester Luwin. I have not been feeling well but he has answered my queries and it was far better news than I had imagined."
He shot you a foul expression. "What is wrong with you woman?"
You shook your head. You didn't care how foul of an expression he had, you were far too happy to care about the negativity that emitted from your fiancé.
"It's joyous news, my love," you smiled widely. "I am with your child."
It barely took him a second to raise from the table to grab hold of your throat and pin you to the wall.
"Close your whore mouth," he spat. "No child of mine is to be born out of wedlock."
"I'm sorry," you croaked, tears brimming in your eyes. "I'm sorry."
He dropped you, your hands latching onto your neck to massage the tender skin.
"That child is not my blood," he hissed. "Rid yourself from my home and my sight. I shall never marry a whore."
Your sob caught in your throat. "Please Josef, it must be your child. I have never lain with another."
The look in his eyes sent a shiver down your spine.
"Remove yourself from my home," he repeated. "I must now leave the north, so your retched lies do not ruin my honour."
Josef grabbed hold of your arm and dragged you out of the house to throw you to the floor, leaving you as the waste that he saw you as.
