(Sorry that this chapter's a bit shorter than the others. Thanks so much for reading, too!!!)

Mr. West stayed quiet for a few moments, looking surprised that this woman and boy were here, talking to him.

"Adira." He said, stuttering a bit with his surprise. "I didn't expect you to be here so soon."

"I've been here already." The lady, whose name Tori was guessing was Adira, replied. "I got here the night of the crash; I was notified when Jade was first admitted to the hospital."

"And I came with her!" The boy said, as if he were announcing a triumphant victory.

"Seriously, why is your wife at the front desk? She has no business seeing Jade." Adira said, her voice lined with annoyance.

Beck turned back towards Tori and Cat. "All in favor of sitting down and staying out of the family drama?" He asked.

"Aye." Tori and Cat said at the same time. Beck sat back down on Cat's right and Tori on her left. They then all three looked at the floor, pretending to be oblivious to the awkwardness and tensity in the room.

Mr. West groaned. "I seriously don't see why you don't like her, but my wife isn't any of your business."

"No, but our daughter is." Adira pointed out. "And Jade isn't too fond of Karen, either. She has no business being here. Tell me one time that she was ever there for Jade, or if the two have ever had a single conversation together? She's just like you and you know it!" Adira then looked around Mr. West's shoulder at the three teenagers in the room. "Now you've been bothering your daughter's boyfriend and friends and blaming them for something that they couldn't stop. Let them talk with each other, they haven't seen each other in four days, now, and I'm sure that they also want to make sure each other is okay and possibly visit Jade if they're allowed to. Go get your wife and leave."

"Now I see where Jade gets the trait where she speaks her mind from." Tori whispered to Cat and Beck, who nodded.

Mr. West let out a defeated sigh, but turned around and faced the three once again. "This isn't over, Mr. Oliver." He said, before finally leaving, leaving only Adira, the boy, Tori, Beck, and Cat in the room. Adira looked away from the door and towards the three.

"I'm so sorry for him, what was he doing?" She asked.

"Er, nothing. It's fine, really-" Beck started, before Cat interrupted.

"He yelled at us and told Beck that it was his fault that Jade's in a coma, and then he made us tell the story of the crash, but nothing helped Beck's case. He can't remember what Jade was doing during the crash." She said in a feeble voice.

Adira face palmed and sighed. "Beck, I am so sor-"

"Don't be." Beck interrupted. "It's like Jade says. If her dad doesn't like what he's hearing, he won't listen."

"But it doesn't mean that it doesn't still get to you. I know you, Beck." Tori added.

Adira shook her head. "I simply don't know what I'm going to do with him."

The little boy looked Tori and Cat up and down. His face then dawned with realization and he said, "Ahhhhh. You're Tori and Cat."

"...yes, that's right." Tori said slowly. "How'd you know that?"

"Jade said that there's a girl at her school with dark hair and good cheekbones named Tori. She also said that there's a short, perky redhead girl named Cat." He looked at Tori matter-of-factly, and receiving a weird look from her, he went, "what?"

"I believe that there are some introductions to be made." Beck said, gesturing towards Adira. "Tori, Cat, this is Ms. West, Jade's mom." He then pointed at the boy. "And that there's Jade's little brother, Liam." Liam waved as if he hadn't just classified who the two were by his sister's descriptions.

"Nice to meet you!!!" He exclaimed, and Tori found it hard to believe that this little boy was related to Jade West.

"Weren't you that little boy that Jade had star along with her in that horror movie that she wrote to reaudition for Hollywood Arts?" Tori asked, knowing that she had seen Liam somewhere before.

Liam nodded. "Sissy had me rock on a rocking horse and yell at her. I felt bad about the yelling at her cause Dad used to do that enough, but the rocking was fun, and she said that I yelled way better than Dad after we were done shooting the scene." He said. Tori looked at Beck. Did he know that Mr. West was known to lose his cool often? Beck's hung head gave Tori the answer that she needed. That might explain some of Jade's rather defensive and assuming personality.

"Anyways, I just remembered why I came in here, other than to get Roy away from you all." Ms. West said. "The doctor told me that if I could stop by and ask you all if you wanted to visit Jade, they'll allow it."

"Does that mean she's awake???" Cat asked hopefully, but Ms. West shook her head.

"Sadly, no. But the doctors figured that you all may wanna see her since you haven't gotten much news since the crash. Beck, especially."

Tori turned to Cat, and then both of them turned to Beck. "It's really your call, Beck." Tori admitted. "Are you ready to see Jade again?"

Beck looked a bit surprised, but replied, "I've been ready since I woke up in the hospital." He looked at Ms. West with the most stern expression and said, "take me to Jade. Please."
