Chapter Three "What happened to you...?"

"Sorry. I didn't mean to startle you" I apologies. Ash sits back on the bench with Pikachu on his lap. He looks towards me as I sit beside him. "It's beautiful out here. Don't you think?" I smile admiring the sky full of stars. "Why won't you leave me alone?" He asks me. The question gives me a sad feeling in my heart. "Because..." I start to say. "Because you're special to me. And a great friend." With that Ash; stood up and started to walk away. "Y...you should go home now it's getting pretty late," He says stopping a few feet away from me. "But what about you?" I ask quickly. "From what I have seen. You don't have a place to stay." Ash turns towards me without saying anything for a few seconds. "I would have asked but the blond guy back at the gym. I don't think he likes me after what I said to you guys" Ash replies. Smiling, I take the raven-haired boy's hand and instead of dragging him. This time I walk back with him to the gym.

"Are you sure about this?" Ash questioned before we go in. I nod and, Ash sighs as we go inside. "Serena I was so worried" Clemont hugs me as soon as I come inside. "Why is he here" Clemont glares at Ash. Hearing this Ash, turned to walk out but, I stopped him before he could. "Clemont. Ash is our friend." I say calmly. "We can't really blame him. None of us knows what happened to him or how he lost his memories." Clemont sighs as he furrowed his brows looking, at him. Ash turned his head avoiding; Clemont's  glare. "Come on then. Follow me." Clemont walked away and, Ash slowly followed.

Ash's POV

I followed Cle-Clemont. I think his name was. But something was off. It wasn't long before we stopped in front of a wooden door. "Here. The keys," Clemont handed me the keys and was about to walk away. When suddenly, he pinned me towards the wall as I hit my head. "Listen to me cause I'll only say this once" He snarled. " I'm only doing this because of Serena. She a caring person and for some reason still has hopes for you. You already broke her heart once after you disappeared. And if you dare, do it again. I'll make sure you never come close to her ever again." He let's go of me as I fall to my knees rubbing, my wrist. "I wish we never met you that day" I stare at him shocked. And for some reason, those words seem to pierce through my heart. I hung my head as I went into the room.

Sitting; down on the bed. I thought about what Clemont had said. "what happened to me anyway that day" I sigh. "Come on out" I shout as everyone came out. "What's wrong master?" questioned Lucario. "You know what's wrong" I replied. "Why can't you just tell me?" Lucario glances towards Greninja then back to me. "Master, I will tell you everything when the time comes. Right now you have to get some rest" Lucario says calmly. Knowing that there is no point arguing, I tell everyone to go outside.

"May I come in Ash..." says a sweet voice. "Yes," I instantly answer. "Ash, I hope I am not disturbing. Were you going to bed" Serena asks and, I shake my head no. "Ash, I want to know what happened to you. Even the littlest information might help me and the others to try to find out what happened." Serena says sitting; next to me. I sigh as I look deep into her sapphire eyes. "It's okay if you don't want to tell me," She says. "I...I will tell you what I remember" I start to say. "I woke up in the hospital a few days before coming here. When I woke up; I couldn't remember my own name; After I was free to go from the hospital. With the help of Pikachu, I got home to find..." I stopped. "Find what?" she questions. I take a big gulp before Serena puts her hand on mine. "Find what Ash" she repeats. "B...blood," I say slowly. Serena looks at me shocked; "I didn't know where it came from so I decided to ask Pikachu. But he wouldn't say a word." I look away. "Also, that guy. Clemont. I don't think he wants me here. He said he is only doing this because of you." Without saying a word, she walks out of the room.

Bonnie's POV

"Why aren't you happy that he is back?" I ask. I saw what happened when Clemont was taking Ash to his room. The thing that got to me was how could he say to him that he wish 'we never met him'. Ash is the reason we went on a journey. He's the reason we all became friends. "Well, tell me." "Bonnie, you're too young to understand," he replies. "Just tell me why you hate him now!" I shoot back. Clemont's expression changes from calm to angry. "You want to know then listen. He broke Serena's heart. After he disappeared, she was heartbroken. He can't just leave us then come back like nothing happened!" He finishes. "But that's the thing something did happen..." Serena comes in. "What do you mean?" I ask. Serena looks at me then at Clemont. "He woke in the hospital before coming here remembering, absolutely nothing." I stare at her surprised, "Or he's telling a lie" Clemont speaks. "He-" I stop hearing a scream.

Serena is the first to run. Both Clemont and I follow her right after. Reaching Ash's room, Serena barges in the bedroom to see him on the floor. "Ash!" We yell. Serena kneels to find him crying while holding his head.
