Chapter 22

Elsa's POV:

A week has passed since Captain Frost and I had kissed.

To say I didn't enjoy the kiss would be an understatement.

That night was electrifying.

I remembered the way his soft lips moved against mine.

I shivered.

We haven't really interacted much since then, except for Atlas's funeral.

He and I were both the only one's there.

We didn't exchange any words though.

We just listened to the priest say some kind words before some strangers lowered Chelsea Brown and Atlas into the ground.

I wiped a stray tear away.

It's weird, I don't normally become this attached to the kids of victims.

I sighed and fell back into my bed.

Captain Frost has been ignoring everything. He assigned me to a case with Bunny and whenever I try and start a conversation, he gets up and leaves.

Quickly, I changed into pair of black jeans, and an ice blue dress shirt. I placed my badge around my neck and hurried out the door.

When I got to the precinct, I saw Bunny taking in a perp.

"Hey, what's going on?" I asked once the woman was in the holding cell.

"This," he gestured towards the woman, " is a possible suspect in the 78th bank robbery." 

I scoffed.

"She's the woman who stole thousands of dollars from that bank, then flashed all of the security camera's?" 

He nodded his head, shivering slightly. 

The woman was clearly intoxicated.

"People do weird things when they're drunk." I said sadly.

That was Captain Frost's excuse for his actions a few weeks ago.

Bunny and I walked off to our desks and finished up on some paperwork.

North came rushing by.

"Hey, North, why are you in such a hurry?" I asked, putting down my pen.

"Meeting in the briefing room in 5."

I sighed and made my way over.

People were chatting and taking their spots.

I sat down next to Tooth and whispered in her ear.

"What's going on?"

She just shrugged, and I was just more confused.

However, the chatter slowly died down once the Captain walked in.

"Everybody rise." He said strictly.

We all stood up and saluted waiting for further instruction.

Why did he tell us to rise? We never do that unless-

"Good Morning officers." A voice boomed.

We all turned towards the entrance of the room.

There, standing there was the Commissioner.

"Good Morning Commissioner Moon." We all said simultaneously.

"At ease." He said and we all sat down.
