Cora Smith

Today was the day to go for a jog, before anyone could wake up I went for a jog, returned to find the kids awake. Eric was too upset or at least he acted upset cause I left him and went for a jog. Let me tell you the names of the other kids -Aaron, 19 months, Abdiel,10 months, Delph 4 year old and Thea, 2-year old, Gwenn and Juno, the twins.

Aaron has already started walking and talking bits, my morning usuals start with him imitating me, I am slightly worried about the conjoined twins though, they aren't even able to hold their head but from doctor's words, I have high hope on them.

I made their favourite guacamole, Papa was still asleep but it was his time to wake up do yoga. I woke him up and Pa and Appa.

I was late to, it was already 8:55 am I quickly collected coffee from Mrs Phill whom I informed before to make the coffees. I kissed her on her cheek and fled to his cabin. I placed it on his table while Sean was seated in front of Ben. The time was sharp 9. I was relieved, Ben, as usual, thanked me for the coffee, I left to my cabin, I didn't even look at Sean.

I texted Ethan best of luck for his exams and resumed my paperwork. A little tap on my door, it was Cora Smith, she is the daughter of one of Ben's business clients, not that just also she is the sweetest person, she is doing her graduation in the US. She smiled widely at me, I smiled back, as far as I have heard Mr Smith has been the one who lent Ben a loan to start his own business.

"How have you been ?" I asked her.

"Don't I look awesome ?" she claimed, pouting.

"Of course you do!" I said.

"By the way did you see anyone peeking into his room?" she questioned

She has always been crushing over Ben all the time, also made me a spy whenever she comes." Obviously no, if he knows that a beautiful girl like you is crushing over him, will he be seeing anyone at all?" I questioned her instead.

She smiled " Anyway I'll leave you to do your work ?" she said as she walked towards the door. "Bye, " I said as she left.

Ethan came at around 3, straight to Ben's cabin. I had to inform him about his meeting for tomorrow, I waited outside his cabin until Ethan could finish his talk with Ben while Sean sat at his usual place. I couldn't hear anything but through the closed glass doors, I could see Ben's face turn from calm to tension. Ethan stood and marched towards the door, he looked at me, smiled weakly and left, even before I could ask him about his exams.

I gave Ben the files, his face went cold, he had no expression at all. He pointed towards the table, I left the files and took another set which was on the table. I was confused but as I said Ethan too has a lot of secrets. I didn't realise the time until Sean left, it was already 7 pm but I was determined to complete the files and leave. While I finished my work, it was 10:45 pm, I went to Ben's cabin to leave the files on the table, only to find Ben still in his cabin. He looked sad, I knocked on the ajar door, his attention on the desktop to me. Ben's office is a large place with a large round table surrounded by a circular sofa. His seat was behind a marble table. In front of the table were 4 comfortable fancy chairs, from far his cabin looks so grand and expensive.

He stretched both of his hands with his fingers interconnected, letting out a yawn. "You can leave now, Ayanna, it's already late, you should have left early it's not necessary to have stayed up late and completed it. " he said between his yawn."

"I thought of finishing " I turned to leave, but I thought about something " Ben? Did you eat ?" I asked.

"Nope !" he replied shaking his head.

"Then, I have an idea, finish your work and come to my home, by the time you come I can cook something special for you! Is it okay?"

He placed his fists clenched under his chin, elbows placed on the table, he looked at me and asked with eagerness "Special? For me? " he asked, "Then I will surely come." I sent him my location and left.

I made some of my favourite dishes for me as well as for Papa who hasn't had his dinner yet and Ben. It took me almost 40 minutes to finish cooking. By the time Ben reached home, I was done with cooking. Papa brought him to the dining room, I served him Fried rice with some Naan and Paneer. He looked tired but started eating pretty quickly, Papa kept talking non-stop, but what surprised me more was how Ben too was talking so much.

"You know Ben, Ayanna used to always complain about you. That you were too strict, straight-faced monkey" Ben choked and looked at me, I was embarrassed, I caught both my ears and apologised innocently. He smiled at me and turned to Papa," And what else?" he questioned Papa more. I pouted at Papa and shook my head asking him not to tell anything more.

"She was is a baby with mature looks that's all! Huh! Do you know how much she pesters me? Wake up early! Walk! Time for Yoga! Always ordering to do something or the other. I am done with her " They laughed while I sat there annoyed.
