Chapter 3: Meeting the Island Kahuna

Once Y/n, Lillie, Eevee, Popplio, and eventually Litten had left the previous area, Y/n then spots Professor Kukui standing on the wooden stage that sat near the entrance to the island guardian's domain.

Once they approached, Professor Kukui turned around and smiled as he saw Y/n walking alongside Lillie,

Professor Kukui: "Ah, Y/n! You've already met Lillie, Huh?"

Y/n nodded his head at the professors question as they all joined Professor Kukui on the stage, he then turned to Lillie and asks her,

(BDD- I'm just gonna write it as that from now on.)

P. Kukui: "Lillie, I thought you were with the island kahuna?"

Lillie looks at Professor Kukui and said,

Lillie: "Kahuna Hala? He said that he had something to attend to do, so he left town on his own."

Y/n: ('What kind of stuff did he have to take care of? Maybe he had to pay some bills or something...what ever those are.')

Y/n thought to himself as he continued to listen to their conversation.

Lillie: "I was just, um, taking a little stroll up Mahalo Trail while I waited for him to return."

Professor Kukui then smiled as he turned towards Y/n and said,

P. Kukui: "And that's how you met our new neighbor, Y/n huh?"

Y/n raised an eyebrow to this and asked,

Y/n: "Neighbor? But I didn't see any other houses next to or near my house."

They ignore his comment as Lillie then said,

Lillie: "So you're also one of the Professors acquaintances?"

Y/n made a puzzled face as he put his head in the palm of his head and thought to himself. Then he looked at Professor Kukui, who was smiling with his wrists on his hips and his back straight.

Y/n: "I actually wouldn't really consider him an acquaintance."

Both Professor Kukui and Lillie looked shocked after he had said that, then Lillie asked with a slightly worried tone,

Lillie: "O-oh...Then what Do you consider him as?"

Y/n: "A strange weirdo."

Lillie looked at him confusedly as the smile on Kukui's face turned into a frown. She then asked,

Lillie: "Why's that?"

Y/n looked Kukui straight in the eye and said,

Y/n: "When I met him he showed me three Pokémon that saved me from a wild Yungoos, after I picked Litten, she addressed me as Master. I felt weird about it and told her not to say it, then his exact words were, 'It's weird only if you make it weird, cousin.'"

Lillie then looked at Professor Kukui with a sliver of disbelief lining her confused look. He just nervously shrugged his shoulders as a bead of sweat dropped from his forehead.

Random Villager 1: "The Kahuna is back! Kahuna Hala has returned!"

Random Villager 2: "Our guardian's chosen one is back!"
