Rex.
You heard the name over and over.
"What's the next move? Big-Time actor Rex absent from Red Carpet Opening!"
You saw a magazine with a man on the cover.
"Blending In: Movie Star Rex Hiding from Paparazzi?"
This guy was more popular than you thought.
"Scandal: Does Rex "The Captain" Hate his Fans?"
That seems a little too far. Though, if he's a big deal, of course the media would exploit anything about him. You wondered about what it would be like to be famous, and have to deal with all of that crap. Most people fantasize about that kind of thing, but when you really get down to it, it's definitely not for everyone.
You were getting pretty deep in thought, so much so that you didn't notice the person speed walking in your direction before they crashed into you.
And there he was, the famed man, standing in front of you with coffee all over his shirt.
You immediately panicked, of course. "I'm so sorry!!" You blurted out.
Of all of the people on earth that you could spill your coffee on, it had to be a celebrity, right? Just your luck.
You started taking off your cardigan in an effort to dry him off, but that wasn't working. His white t shirt was completely coffee-stained. Still, he wasn't really reacting in a negative way- he wasn't really reacting at all...
He suddenly put his hand on your shoulder, and before you could marvel at how strong his hand felt, he was leading you in the direction he came from.
He was walking so fast that you really didn't have time to protest, and you had no clue what was going on. Upon further consideration, you guessed he probably didn't want you making a scene in public where someone might recognize him.
You were actually nearing your apartment, so you stopped him.
"Hey, my apartment is just around the corner! Let me take you there and give you some fresh clothes!" You said, trying to ignore the fact that you just invited a celebrity into your tiny studio apartment.
He looked down at you, and with a soft smile he said "Thanks."
Shouldn't he be mad at you or something? He seemed way too calm about this whole situation.
Ushering him into your apartment, you noticed him lifting a hand up to the baseball cap he had on his head, probably a regular motion for him. That pretty much covers his face. He probably doesn't want some article coming out with him entering a random girl's apartment in the middle of the day. Especially when he'd be leaving with different clothes on.
What you didn't notice was the one person watching... with a camera.
You shut the door behind you two, turning and leaning your back on it, feeling like you needed to keep your distance for some reason.
This may the most interesting thing you've ever done in your life...
You quickly scurried over to a closet where you remembered that your brother left some of his shirts at your place. You took one from the closet and offered it to Rex.
"Here, you probably want to get that shirt off." You did not mean that sentence to come out as suggestive as it was. But how much else could you really embarrass yourself at this point?
He took the shirt from you, and then started taking off his coffee-stained one. You caught yourself looking at his toned body for a little bit too long... and spun around, feeling your cheeks burning red.
