• General Physical Description: Joshua is an average looking male. Nothing too unique about him besides his pale gray eyes. That's the first thing people notice about him. He tends to have a somber look on his face most of the time, unless he's listening to someone or singing. Then the true emotions will kick in. On his left cheek there's a small scar that goes into his mouth - like something had cut him from the inside. There are also multiple scarring on his back, most likely from surgeries. Joshua does have another "unique" feature about him. Though, he doesn't really remember its existence. It's a tattoo of a jellyfish on his right hip.

PERSONALITY TRAITS:
• Behavior: Joshua is an introvert that tries to hide all of his emotions from the outside world. He doesn't usually let people into his life because he knows that they can disappear into the void at any second. He is extremely cautious, barely ever leaving his house within an alert button (it's a mechanism that allows authorities to find exactly where you are at anytime - whenever you need) and he lets people know when he leaves, and where he's going. Though, he may seem a bit uptight about rules and structure, he does know how to have fun. Once you get Joshua laughing, there's no stopping him. He loves hearing other people laugh - and in turn, he gets joy from it. So he copies them. He copies people's tones of voices, to try and figure out what emotion is filling a room. But don't try to take care of him!! Joshua is an independent soul. He wants to help himself - no matter what it costs. He hates the fact that he can be helpless at times. So he pushes himself everyday to get stronger. Joshua learns new things everyday, and he thrives from it.

• Backstory: Joshua used to be a very outgoing man before the accident. He had a large friend group that was always out partying and living it up! They had met in college, and just lived their best life. Drinking and getting the girls (and boys) every chance they could. Typical college student stuff. No one really expected that kind of attitude from Joshua. He wasn't a star student, but he was definitely one of the better ones in the courses. Though, the "friend group" he was hanging around with weren't the best kinds of people. They made him succumb to peer pressure. They even made Joshua repress his homosexuality. For once he felt needed. And Joshua did anything for them.
He even got so drunk one night that he could barely walk on his own without the help of his "friends." They wanted to see him get fully slammed. Joshua wasn't a real drinker. In fact, he was usually the designated driver of the bunch. But that night... plans changed. They needed to find a taxi because Joshua was too drunk to drive, and most of them were a bit tipsy as well. One them was a bit annoyed by their situation. So they started to pick a fight with Joshua. This caused someone to be pushed into oncoming traffic.
That someone... being Joshua. And it wasn't a small accident. He got run over twice. Causing multiple fractures and broken bones. Some even said that they saw blood spew out of his eyes. But people like to overstate things. Emergency services were called and Joshua was rushed to the hospital. He needed to go through many, many surgeries that would hopefully save his life. And they did! Though, one of those said surgeries left him blind. Some doctors think that the accident caused the blindness. While others think it was a surgery gone wrong. It's hard to say.
After recovery, Joshua was placed into physical therapy. He needed to regain function within his right leg. Two months passed and he was finally able to walk normally. After all of that, he was left alone. He would've graduated from college if it wasn't for the accident. So he had to drop out - though it wasn't necessarily his choice. His parents persuaded him into doing so. But he didn't live with his parents. They lived all the way in New York City. So he was still living in the same Californian apartment. It's just, now... Joshua felt the loneliness of it all finally sinking in. Especially since his "friends" never came to visit him in the hospital.
Joshua began his social recovery on his own. He taught himself how to live without seeing the world around him. It took a while. A lot of trial and error. But a system grew between himself and the void.
