I strolled along the aisles of products absentmindedly. Looking for the specific maternity milk Elean recommended for me. I pulled out some greens and fruits but the most important thing that was on my cart was the cookies. I still have this weird craving, trying real hard to control my diet. I grabbed the box and threw it on the cart, as I looked up Jake's surprised face came to view. I mirrored his expression mixed with horror and disbelief.

"Why am I not surprised, even stalking me becomes normal to you" I scoffed moving my cart to the other direction. He stood in front.

"I am not stalking you. Is it that hard to believe that I went grocery shopping and so did you?"

"Without a doubt, yes. Who knows what you're up to"

Jake sneered "Those threats were just to test you, no big deal. I have other plans. I see that the baby is growing well"

I looked down feeling self conscious "Well, Will takes care of me unlike you did"

Jake's eyes narrowed at me at the mention of Will's name "I can't change the past but I can make things right. Will is not good for you Korra, he has secrets you'll never believe he had and things he did you never thought he'd do"

"Who are you? My mother? You don't get to say things that I will and will not do. Who do you think you are? An abusive bastard that's for sure"

His grip tightened around the handle of his pushcart "One of these days, you'll thank me for revealing you of the truth. And speaking of the truth, when do you plan to tell him?"

My eyes widened does he. . ? "What are you talking about?" my voice on the edge.

Jake smiled, his oh so evil smile and left off without answering leaving me on my own. Is it really possible? The ringing of my phone interrupted my thoughts.

"Hello?"

"Hey girl! Dr. Eleanor asked if you could do a grooming at her place?"

"When Tash?"

"Like right now"

"Is it really urgent? I'm still doing some errands"

"Give me a sec. . . she said as soon as you're free"

I bit my lip, earlier I imagined myself sitting by the balcony a warm tea and a good book by the table. But if I accept this, I could use the extra cash and be able to catch up with Elean. Oh what the heck, I'll just do it tomorrow.

"I don't have her address, where should I meet her?"

"She said just go here in the shop, she'll wait for you" Tasha hanged up.

I sighed, leaving the cart and placing the items back in their shelves. I looked around, Jake was nowhere to be seen, I guess he must have gone off.

Twenty minutes later I was at the shop and Elean sitting by the corridor reading a book, waiting patiently. As I opened the door she looked up and smiled.

"I'm sorry on asking you on such short notice, I think sunshine has a bit of an infection on her hair"

"Wait, I'm not the doctor just a groomer. I know only the basics and very little about diseases and infections" I warned. Why is she asking for me and not a doctor. Like whaaa? Something's going on here.

"I don't think it's that serious, just have a look and see what you can do"

Internally, I debated if I should agree or not. Why am I having this sensation that something was up. Or something was gonna happen eventually, my curiosity got the best of me and I agreed. Elean guided me to her car and once we were on the way, I felt tense and nervous. Elean saw my discomfort and looked at me for a second then kept her eyes on the road.

"Are you okay? You seem a bit agitated" her right arm soothing my back.

"Do you have like a candy or something around here? I think it's the hormones acting up again" I lied looking around.

"Yeah, in here. Take whatever you need" she handed me a black pouch, opening, assorted sweets and mint candies came to view. She smiled sheepishly at me "Sometimes, when I drive home late I need some sugar to help me wake up and keep my eyes on the dashboard"

"Thanks" I muttered

The drive was not longer than I thought. We entered a subdivision type of of area and stopped at a white gate. She parked alongside and motioned for me to head out. When she opened the gate, a guy crouching down on sunshine came to view.

"Hey, babe she's the groomer I was talking about" Elean spoke up.

The guy turned around and when his eyes landed on me, I felt my heart stop for a nanosecond.
