Goodbye Kiss

Several weeks had passed since Class A graduated from U.A. Majority of the students went their own separate ways, joining agencies that they had done their work study for during their years in highschool or taking on a new endeavor within the hero world — some making a change in location be it a new agency within Japan or a new country all together. For two of these new alumni, it was a rather new and drastic change. They decided to move in together.

Shouto Todoroki and Momo Yaoyorozu had made the decision to live together.

They were highschool sweethearts — getting together in their final year and pushing one another to be the best that they could be together or apart. It was a new experience for them both. Being dorm mates was one thing, but roommates was a whole other level...

After weeks of being apart and rarely seeing one another for more than a night at a time, Shouto had surprisingly taken the initiative in asking his girlfriend to move in with him, to take their relationship to the next level. With his usual stoic look it was hard for most to know exactly how crazy about his girlfriend he was. Being apart from her for days at a time was not ideal for him — just being in her presence was more than enough for him to have complete relaxation to his mind and body.

After moving in together in a small house they rented with their own income, no help from either of their families, Shouto and Momo were happier than they ever thought they could be. It was just them. Before work, after work, at night, in the morning... It was perfect. Leaving the house together and going to their agencies, Shouto to his father, Endeavor's, and Momo to Uwabami's. Every morning had become a routine — parting ways at the station and heading off to do god-knows-what for their job of heroics~

This certain day however, Momo had her first day off since they moved in together. She'd been going to work on a strict schedule for weeks, doing either rescue, modeling, commercials, or straight up Villain fighting — no matter what, she was always busy and always alongside her fellow Heroes at the agency. But today she had nothing planned. Her ideal day off would be spent with her boyfriend, but his schedule didn't have the luxury of lining up perfectly with hers..

No matter how much he wanted to spend the day with her, he couldn't. Being a Hero came first, even if he wasn't working directly under his father who he still held negative feelings for — Shouto couldn't dismiss his solemn duty of saving people and stopping crime.

Their morning passed a little differently than usual. Normally they'd both get ready for work, dressing themselves in their costumes and heading out the door together, enjoying their morning walk before parting and not seeing one another until the end of the day. But this morning, Momo did not put her costume on, but dressed herself for the day to take care of normal errands while her loving boyfriend went off to work.

It was definitely different for Shouto to see her in civilian attire rather than her Hero costume which had just become second nature to see her in. They were only ever not in costumes at night after hours of hard work and usually were relaxing attire~ Shouto definitely didn't mind seeing her more casual. He was her unofficial number one fan and adored her no matter what.

"Right, well, I guess I'm off then," he said as they walked to the door while he fidgeted with his temperature regulation bracer on his wrist. For some reason he couldn't bring himself to look at Momo. It was weird saying goodbye to her at their doorstep rather than their usual spot within the city. This was a form of intimacy he wasn't familiar with. It seemed like something  newly weds would do...

Momo smiled at him, noting the slight flush of color upon his cheeks. It was rare that Shouto Todoroki blushed, but being his girlfriend, Momo got to see it way more than others did. Despite that, she always loved seeing the effect she had on him, intentional or not. She felt accomplished when she saw him like that.
