REVIEW-
The story begins from the office of the head journalist, Josephine Taylor, of the bustling Seattle Magazine, The Chronicle. Josephine Taylor is shown currently on her way to a meeting with all the journalists and her boss , Matthew Crawley. Josephine is one headstrong and determined woman who works hard to claim what she sets her eyes upon and also to stay on top of her game. In this book Aidan Hughes, our male protagonist, is the next big story for Josephine to add in her list of big achievements. Her colleague Rory also desperately wants the Aidan Hughes story. But Matthew decides in the meeting on giving Jo the story due to her persistent ability.
The next day, Jo leaves Seattle to travel 100 miles east to Leavensworth, Washington a town that basically pukes Christmas. Till now all Josephine knows about Aidan Hughes is that he is a famous photographer who was famous worldwide for his potential to photograph a disaster and nature at its finest. His parents died in a car crash and his wife and daughter were found dead near a river, nearly three years ago. Josephine knows it damn well that he hasn't given an interview to anyone for the last three years making her even more so nervous knowing that he has had a shit life and might not provide her with even an opportunity.
We meet Aidan Hughes, the man in question himself, when Jo is studying for her interview with him. Right off the bat, Aidan knew who Josephine Taylor is, why she was there in a small diner in an business outfit and why she lured him to her table. He tells her to come to his family estate to interview him. When she does reaches the dull and creaky old manor of his, he straight out says that he isn't going to her give any gory details that entail his parents death or his wife and daughters death. Jo gets angry at the prospect of him making her come all the way to Manor only to return her empty handed. She decides on just going back to her hotel room.
But a snowstorm raiding the town doesn't lets her do so. Stuck with the man for a whole week or maybe more days, about whom she so desperately wanted to write a story, will Josephine be able to stop her heart from falling for the man who was just supposed to be a interview?
Will Aidan give his heart one more chance to love another being?
With a an ex-fiance still determined to win her heart back and the growing pressures from her boss will Josephine and Aidan overcome their differences and the obstacles thrown at them by each others reserved yet loving hearts?
The human heart is an abyss.
Through tunnels, and chambers, the organ beats and
the world, in each persons life, continues to churn.
With that heart, life is a reality.
But, every so often exceptions have to be made.
Every so often a heart breaks, truly breaks, and all the
pieces of life and reality become a haze.
That heart is beating, but only sustaining.
There is only one cure, one remedy- one antidote.
That is love.

AUTHOR APPRECIATION –
Alicia Marino is a skilled and mature writer who has till now published twenty books with new ones on their way. I have read some of her books till now and they have so far amazed me beyond compare. Her characters are exemplary. I loved the fact that they are all determined and passionate about what they do for a living and will go to any lengths to get their work done be it putting their life in danger to skipping all meals and sleep to accomplish their task. Her way of writing things and wording them, making things go from banausic to phenomenal, is just impeccable.
Read this book to see two hearts in love with each other battle against all that is in the world to be together.
