Harry.
My eyes take in the scene around me, everything horrifying. My car is to the side of the street and I walk along the snowy street, my bare feet walking but there isn't a feeling.
"What's going on?" I try to ask an officer, but he ignores me. Can he not here me?
I yell, but no one looks at me. What's going on? I run around, searching for anything to tell me what's going on.
My eyes widen as I see my body, my actual body, lying on the ground. I'm covered in blood and I'm bruised; my eyes diverting to my hands. Why am I out of my body?
Lance is here and all my friends, my dad crying as he comes towards me. What happened?
"A man was in wait and hit his car," I overhear an officer tell my father, my eyes widening.
"That man, his name Patrick Willis, has been killed on impact. Harry will be in intensive care after his surgery. We need to hope for the best," he says, my father pinching his nose as he cries. I climb into the ambulance as they drive away, my eyes taking in everything they're doing to me. Everything about my body looks broken.
"It's up to you, Harry. Whether you wake up or not, it's all on you," a woman says, my eyebrows frowning.
The silence takes over, my body crumbling to the floor of the ambulance. What am I supposed to do here? Why am I out of my body? What did I do?
After numerous hours of watching myself have surgery and looking at my dad cry, I just sit in a chair in my hospital room. No one can see me; I have no one to talk to. My family and friends are all outside my room, too many people here.
Loud sirens are heard outside and I look outside, watching the world carry on. I'm alone.
My body jolts out of my seat when I see her, her body running to the doors. My feet run out of the room and I run to the lobby, seeing Lauren out of breath as she reaches the desk.
"Sorry, you aren't allowed," the secretary says, my hand reaching for her but nothing happens. She doesn't even react to my touch.
"No! Let her be with me!" I yell as she cries, "Please let me see him."
"She's family," my dad says, grabbing Lauren's hand and pulling her with him. I walk beside her and so desperately want to wipe her tears. Her crying is the worst sight. She's a beautiful crier but seeing her cry breaks my heart.
Lauren runs to my body, her body falling to the floor as she cries into her hands. I wrap my arms around her but she doesn't react. Lance is the one that holds her, my thankfulness for him growing. He's my best friend and he will help her.
"It's okay," he whispers, Lauren crying violently. I hate not being able to comfort her.
"He can't leave me. I love him so much," she cries, Lance hugging her.
"I'm not leaving, Lauren. I love you too," I say, her eyes closing as she holds onto Lance.
"Lauren," a stern voice says, my eyes glaring at Mr. Michaels.
"Lauren, we must go," he says, my yells of argument unheard.
"No. I can't leave him," she says, Lance allowing her up.
"Lauren. It's best if you come with us," he states, my hand grabbing Lauren's. The touch falls as she wipes her tears but I still try to hold her.
"Can't you see that I love him? That I'm torn over his accident that Patrick caused," she cries, my arms around her as she cries.
"You're naïve, Lauren. We need to go home," he says, my eyes closing as Lauren walks towards him.
"I'm sorry, but I can't go with you. He needs me," she says, kissing his cheek before walking back to Lance. Her eyes fall onto my body and she grabs my hand, my hand actually warming. She presses a kiss to my forehead and I smile, feeling everything warm as she touches me.
A few minutes of argument occur between my father and hers, my eyes unable to fall from Lauren. She's pulled up a chair and her hands hold mine tightly, her eyes closed and her lips pressing to my left thumb.
"Please be okay," she whispers, crying silently now.
"I need you more than you know. You're strong Harry. You can fight this. Just know that I love you, no matter what you do. It's all up to you," she whispers, my hand attempting to brush her tears but nothing happens.
"I love you," I tell her, her hand staying over mine.
"Will you be okay?" she chokes, her broken nature making me so sad. I feel like I should cry but no tears come. I can't cry.
"For me? After everything we've been through but I understand if you need to go," she whispers, my hand moving onto hers.
"I'm not leaving," I state, her fingers so warm. I can only feel her touch.
Her fingers trace over the tattoos on my arm for numerous minutes, my eyes never falling from her. She sleeps on the couch, my presence behind her as I hold her. She can't even feel me, doesn't even get cold by my touches. She warms me though.
"Where is he!" I hear someone yell, my body standing to see myself lying nearly dead on the hospital bed. Lauren stays asleep and I kiss her hair, loving her so much.
"He's in there," I hear my dad grumble, clearly uneasy about the person.
I stand in front of Lauren, attempting to shield her, but my jaw drops at the person who walks through the door.
"Damn-it Harry," Gemma cries, rushing to my side and grabbing my hand. I feel nothing. Nothing by my sister's touch; my warmth sought through Lauren.
"Oh God, I'm so sorry for everything I put you through. I'm so sorry," she cries, my eyes looking over at Lauren. She's so cute; curled onto the couch in a blanket.
"I can only assume I've missed too much, my arrogant behavior finally punished. I'm so sorry," she chokes out, my eyes staying on Lauren. She's waking up.
"Oh, hi," Gemma says, Lauren saying hello.
"I'm Gemma, Harry's sister. I don't know who you are," Gemma states, her foreboding attitude clear.
"Lauren. I'm his girlfriend," she squeaks, Gemma smiling.
"He finally opened up to someone," she says, Lauren only nodding. She's upset; I know she is.
"Well, I have to go out with my dad. It was nice to meet you," Gemma says.
"You too," Lauren says quietly, Gemma walking out.
As soon as she's out, Lauren sits beside my body on the bed and runs her fingers through my hair. There are too many tubes and wires around her to be able to kiss my lips, but she kisses every available inch of my face.
"Good morning handsome," she says, the irony too much. I don't think there is an unbruised or not stitched part of my body, but she still finds me handsome.
"I hope you progress some today. Take as much time as you need," she whispers, carefully moving the oxygen wire up. She sets a small kiss on my lips and the heart monitor beats slightly faster for a couple seconds, my laugh mixing with Lauren's smile.
"Well, now I know how you feel around me," she smiles, my eyes adoring her.
"Don't give up on me baby, because I won't give up on you," she whispers, kissing my eyelids lightly.
My body boils in a warm feeling, my body seated on the opposite side of the bed from her. She continues to lightly kiss around my face, her beauty something incomparable. She's my love.
"I won't give up."
