The sky moved gently over a small school building, which sat on a quaint little hill. It pushed the clouds till they came to rest and cast a shadow beyond the treeline. There, peering eerily from beyond this shadow, was a boy. His eyes were dark and sunken, one pupil was pale; almost a soft lavender. They watched silently, this building atop a mound. It's exterior, vibrant and welcoming. Though not a sound could be heard; no chirping or laughter, nor the drumming of feet.
The young boy began approaching, carrying only a tattered coat in his hand. He let it drag behind him, trailing up the hill until he was met with the buildings door. It was odd, metal with painted wood carvings. The grain looked real enough from afar, but as he pressed an ear against the door a shiver ran through him.
