"Elemental Names" is a compendium of fictional names intended for characters in a fantasy setting. These names are loosely based on real names (or their translations) and on popular fictional name constructions related to aspects of the natural world.
There are seven elemental categories of Earth, Fire, Air, Water, Ice, Light and Darkness.
Each category is further split into Male and Female sections, with each section containing at least 25 - 40 names and meanings.
Mythology and etymology have greatly influenced the construction of each name. Most are rooted in established semantics and real-world definitions.
Each name is fresh and different, though there are classics that have remained, as well as some mainstays that have been reinvented and presented anew.
But what truly makes the "Elemental Names " unique are the meanings paired with each name within. These have been carefully constructed in hopes of offering a deeper insight into the names themselves and to broaden the scope of their application.
