My friends dropped me off home after the bar. We shared a cab and my dorm was the first stop. I still lived in my dorm as summer was just about to begin. I was going to move back to my parents house during the coming weekend for the summer. I had gotten an internship at a PR bureau in the city. Like most internships it wasn't paid, so my parents had graciously let me live with them for free during the summer. I would have to commute but it was worth it as it still would be tight for money as I still wanted to be able to eat out occasionally and I didn't want to dig too deep into my savings from my previous summer and extra job waiting at a small café.

I looked forward to seeing my parents and my little brother more though. It would feel like a proper summer with us all together in the house. I washed my face and got ready to go to bed switching into my pyjamas.

As I got into bed I kept thinking back to the evening and meeting Oliver. It had taken me a while to hear it but occasionally his swedish accent would slip through. It had been really cute how he sometimes would pronounce J like it was a Y.

I had asked him about it and he had told me he was from a small town in northern Sweden. I had jokingly asked for him to invite me there as I had always wanted to go to Sweden, and he had looked into my eyes and with the most earnest expression told me he would "love to take me home". As he had realized the double meaning of his words I was sure his cheeks had flamed red, but in the lights of the bar it had only looked like a pink tint. I was wondering if he would text me, or if I should text him in a few days if he didn't text me.

I didn't have to wait long for Oliver to text me. As I was laying in bed in the early morning, still not having fallen asleep. My phone lit up on my bedside table.

"Hey. Soo, do you want to come to any of the celebrations for the team tomorrow?"

He was straight to the point.

"Isn't that mostly for the teams families?" I replied.

"Normally yes. But my family isn't here. They are in Sweden. I was called up from the AHL for the last two games really suddenly and they didn't have the time to get time off and get here."

A second text came in while I read the first.

"So if you don't come, I will be all by myself!" He added a sad emoji at the end of his text.

"So you are an emoji guy?!" I texted back also adding a bunch of emojis to my text.

"Don't try to change the subject." The butterflies that I had felt earlier when we danced together came back.

"What's the schedule like, tell me what I am getting into and I will think about it."

He responded by sending me a pdf.

"StanleycupcelebrationsSchedule.pdf"

I opened the PDF.
