When my eyes pried open again, they were less heavy and I realized I was no longer in that sterile smelling place
I released a mew and suddenly Alyssa's scent was wrapped around me as she jerked open the smaller cage I was in
Her hands were shaking as she gripped me
I mewed again in reassurance
But she gasped and let me go
Worriedly, I stood and padded out of the cage on my own
I was sore, but could walk fine
I purred into her lap
Once again hearing her sob
Alyssa, my owner, you cry far too much
I wish I could've told her, I wish she would've understood
Hopefully now she understands about that slimy man
Hopefully, I'll never see him again
