Do you get why anyone uses them any more?

They're less than ideal.
How does anyone even talk with those?
The lag is ridiculous, and you know that thing where it's like.. you send something, and there's the exact same message which isn't sent-

And it sends like 5 minutes later and it's fucking annoying-

Hell, if I wanted to talk to someone on here I'd rather just talk on a book or ask them if they have discord or some shit-
