"You must trust us, Bluestar," Lionheart mewed. The ghostly-white fur of the starclan cats stood out against the black. The cats were surrounded by black. Empty vast black. No smell. No taste. The only thing she could see was the three Starclan cats, Oakheart, Lionheart, and Redtail.

"How? He is the only cat left I have to trust. I can't send Fireheart away," Bluestar cried.

"We understand how you feel after what Tigerstar did to you," Oakheart responded.

"I know you're all right and that I have to do this but I don't know how to. And when I wake up I won't even trust you."

"When you wake you will be able to do it. We must go now. Take care of your clan, there are more who you can trust." Redtail mewed. And with that, the black emptiness seemed to swallow up the starclan cats, leaving Bluestar to figure out what to do, alone.

Bluestar opened her eyes and yawned. She lay down outside her den and looked up, at the sunrise. The crisp air ruffled her fur. An uneasy feeling settled over her. The rest of the Thunderclan was sound asleep. She knew what she had to do, and she had a plan, but it would hurt.
