The power went out and it's downpouring. I was the only one home, so I cried. I called Austin, who did not pick up. The news said someone rammed their car into the whole electricity castle thing and died, and they won't be able to fix the electricity until tomorrow. Out of all my family, the only one that I know could pick me up right now is my step dad, so I called him so I wouldn't be alone.
So I spent most of my day in the vintage shop, the rooms lit up with candles and lanterns, and petting all the stray cats that take shelter here. Me and my step dad played Monopoly, Operation, Mystic Skull, and Scrabble. Torelei, the orange cat, wanted to play Scrabble with us. My step dad told me to promise not to tell any paying costumers.
Eventually, it was two pm and step dad called Amber's school to have her dropped off here, since it was still pouring. We helped her cut paper and glue it into a notebook for arts and crafts and then played more board games. Eventually, it just led to me spending the night with that side of my family, and my biodad said he'd drive me and Amber to our schools tomorrow morning and I made sure to text Lottie and Val where I was.
