01 ° DELETE IT!

My best friend sat next to me on the two mattresses we managed to fit beside each other on the small floor space between the couches in front of the television. Large, fluffy blankets were wrapped around our frames and the top of our heads, only exposing our faces.

Staring at the screen ahead, I felt my eyes burn as the need for sleep lapped against me like the salty beach water against sand at the beach, but the most it did was lap, and linger for a few moments. I pushed back the feeling, knowing instant coffee resided in the kitchen if needed.

Chips, chocolates and other snacks were in separate bowls in front of us, some of the bowls angled to the side, the smallest nudge away from scattering the food all over and wedged between the mattresses.

The tv in front of us was the only source of light in the completely blacked-out room. Everything around us other than our small space disappeared into the background while YouTube videos from George's channel played.

"He's so adorable, I can't," Chloe gushed from my right, her arms jumping up from beneath the blankets to cover the sides of her face as she fought a smile at George's wholesome laugh.

"His smile!" I joined in, making her nod quickly in agreement with my comment.

Playing was George's newest video, where he and Dream had to complete Minecraft - but the twist was that Dream had to be a horse for the challenge as an obstacle; to complicate things a bit. Dream could only attack mobs, but wasn't allowed to break blocks, and only George could feed him to be able to regenerate health. If Dream died, they lost.

By now they were already in the end, moments away from winning the challenge they set for themselves. Chloe and I leaned forward in anticipation for the victory as George sprinted under the dragon as it hovered in the centre of the obsidian pillars, ready to land the last few hits while Dream let out weird yells that made me grin. While I adored George, I had a soft spot for Dream.

I can't pinpoint the exact moment when my crush on the two youtubers developed, but I know that I couldn't help slowly becoming more addicted to bingeing their videos and staying up late for their streams.

George raised his diamond axe and hit the hovering purple dragon a few times before it was down to half a heart and flapping its wings aggressively as it let out vicious roars. I froze when George stopped attacking, digging my hands into the blanket providing warmth as I was on the edge of my seat.

"Wait, Dream - I want you to get the last hit." George proclaimed after ceasing his assault on the dragon, looking at Dream in horse-form.

"EEEAaaHH - okay." Dream deadpanned, cutting his demonic horse-noises short, rushing over as the Ender Dragon released Dragon's breath... That Dream ran straight into as he went to deal the final blow. He instantly starts taking damage from the lingering particles, and Chloe and I start screaming.

"Dream - NO!" George shouted at the last second, before Dream's horse goes red one last time and tips over to the side, the Minecraft sound effect of a horse dying playing as xp and his items floated where he once stood, rotating around, clustered together.

"NO-!"

"WHAT THE FUCK?"

Chloe and I screamed at the same time, thrashing around and making our food go flying everywhere. Good thing my parents weren't home to yell at us to shut up and go to sleep.

George had gone quiet when he silently hit the dragon beneath its square head, taking its last heart of health and sending it flying upwards as light burst through the beast, and it let out a loud, defeated wail.

Dream then let out an enormous wheeze which turned into full-blown hysterics, pissing himself laughing at their loss.

"Dream..." George screeched in shock. His reaction sent me falling backwards onto the cushioning of the couch behind me. I could hear the pained smile in his voice, finding it both funny and ridiculous at Dream allowing himself to die when they were seconds away from winning.
