A Trip To The Castle

A/N: Hello everyone and welcome to the second part of this book. I know it took awhile to get this out but I hope you still enjoy it and as always let me know what you think, enjoy

Y/N present day
They say scars never heal and all scars bare a story and mine are no exception to that rule. I glance down at my arms and run my hand over the scars, these scars cover most of my body, I sit there quietly thinking about the story of the scars but the silence of my room is quickly broken as my door slowly creeks open.
???:  y/n get dressed we are gonna work on your sword fighting today!
Y/N: OK ill be right out
I throw on a shirt and exit the room but the memories still rush around my head closing my eyes i stand there and think about the first time i met her and how these scars came to be.

Y/N Ten years ago

my wrists and ankles feel heavy as my eyes snap open i glance around to see all of my friends with their heads down and there hands and feet where shackled together and we were all attached to each other.
Y/N: where...are..
i felt a sting and my head snapped to the side as i was slapped by one of the guards watching over us.
???: shut it kid we are almost to the castle
the cart we are in slowly comes to a stop about 30 minutes later and a knight speaks up.
???: everyone out one at a time

we slowly all form a line before heading out of the cart and are pulled inside the giant castle and into a strange room with a giant chair in the back of the room. this room was different from what i imagined to be in a queens castle i expected everything to be gold and white and shiny but everything here was black and purple.
???: bring them to me
a female voice states as we are pushed over in front of the throne and forced to our knees as i am pushed down i realize that there is some white in this throne room. the throne she sits on is on top of skulls and bones
???: here are the children you asked for your highness
The knight standing behind us says u can hear his voice falter in true fear of what sits in front of him
Queen Adira: good now you little ones how many of u have ever held or used a shovel before?
After a few seconds of silence I spoke up
Y/N: I have your highness
Some of the other kids also said they did after I did and a laugh echos throughout the throne room
Queen Adira: keep those who spoke up kill the rest
???: as you wish your highness
Me and five other kids are pulled out of the group and the rest are executed on the spot we heard there screams as they tried to escape the knights but the nights were to strong as they pulled us away we heard the screams slowly fade away and after about ten minutes we are brought back the thrown room.

Y/N: why are you doing this and what happened to our friend?

Queen Adira: no need to worry about it, just know that bad things happen to those who can't perform the simplest of tasks

i was concerned with the fact that she didn't answer my question directly, but what i could tell is this "bad" that she mentioned is something i didn't want to get myself into

Y/N: I-I want to go home, to my parents

The queen gave a sarcastic laugh while shaking her head, she stood up from her throne, and walked up to me. She stood taller then me which made me afraid to look her in the eyes, however, i felt her soft hand with smooth skin meet the underside of my chin which she lifted to get me to look at her in the eyes

Queen Adira: You don't seem to understand boy, your parents are gone, your home is gone, everything you once owned is gone, as far as your life is concerned now i am both your mother and your queen

Y/N eyes widen with shock as he hears about his parents and his home

Y/N: but your not my mom you are my queen

Queen adira: shut up boy I am whatever I say that I am,guards take them away to there cells

????: yes my queen

The large knights gather us up and take us to the cells where we are placed three kids to each cell,the cells are cold and damp,the stone walls have carvings and sayings scrapped into them,light enters through a small barred window,the cell doors are closed and we are left alone for the night as we talk among ourselves.

Y/N: do you really think our parents are gone

???: no I think the queen said that just to scare us

A boy with blonde hair and hazel eyes stated

Y/N: I really hope nothing happened, what is your name

???: my name is Nicholas, what's yours?

Y/N: my name is y/n l/n

Nicholas: well y/n what do you think they are going to do to us

Y/N: who knows but I have a strange feeling it won't be anything fun

Nicholas looks out the barred window and sees the sun going down on the horizon

Nicholas: y/n we should go to sleep it's getting pretty late

Y/N: yeah that's a good idea

The two young boys lay down on there horrible beds, the beds themselves felt as if they were made of stone slabs and the blankets that they provided to the boys where thin and barely being held together by the stitching, slowly after much tossing and turning the two boys were able to fall asleep

A/N: this marks the end of the second chapter, did y'all enjoy it? Please if you have any feedback on my chapter message me I love hearing feedback and the ways I can improve. I would also want to thank all of you for giving me over 700 reads on my first chapter, for my first time writing I never expected it to reach that high, now as you may have noticed it took a long time to get this second chapter out I'm not going to lie to you guys I had a hard time writing and it felt like I was stuck in writers block for months but as I write more and more I'm sure I will get better so sorry about the long wait and I will try to get a third chapter out quicker then what I did for this one. Now i will tell you one thing about the next chapter, it is gonna get pretty serious and some things that will be talked about in the next chapter may not be for the faint of heart so read at your own risk, that's all i can give away about the next chapter as of now so until next time, zfitzsy out
