~You've never been too social,

You don't cause trouble fight or curse.

You wouldn't raise your voice at someone,

unless they'd done something to you first.

You tend to hold your tongue,

you were never very loud.

And the last place you wanted to be,

was whereever, there was a crowd.

"How could I be a leader?" You ask.

"Who would listen to me?"

Listen closely and dig deep inside

to see the leader you could be.

In order to be a leader,

confidence is key.

You must be proud like the lion,

and strong-willed, like the oak tree.

Of course, to be a leader,

you must carry yourself like one.

Your stride must demand respect,

from any and everyone.

When leaders give instructions,

they make sure they are understood.

Ensuring that tasks are carried out with excellence,

and not described as being just "Good".

Also to be a great leader,

you must motivate your group.

You must teach and train them all as well,

so they will take pride in what they do.

You don't have to be a bully,

No one likes one of those.

But you can't be too soft spoken either,

you may have to change your tone.

A few things a leader should do and be,

were just listed above.

And all of them, I'm sure my dear,

you are more than capable of.

Without a harsh or hurtful word,

all of this, you can do.

All while retaining your placid mood,

the calm, the beautiful you.

So continue to be the gentle person,

that you have always been.

But hold your head high, now that you know,

that a leader resides within.~
