ELVIRA WOULD BE LYING if she said she knew the names of those she was defending against Fairy Tail. In total, she only knew the names of seven Phantom Lord members, and out of the seven, she only really spoke to two. Despite being clueless about those that stood behind her, she defended them without a second thought. Her reasoning for doing this might've been rooted due to Gajeel's involvement, but she did have to admit that she didn't want to see her guildmates hurt.

Gajeel might be where her real loyalty lied, but that didn't mean she didn't care about her guildmates. It just meant he would always be her first choice, and as long as Gajeel is fighting, she will too. When Elvira absorbed Natsu's spell, she knew she had to release it as soon as possible, but she couldn't help but notice the Phantom Lord members that didn't stand behind her. Those in front of her were still fighting, not as willing to stand behind her like the others.

And as long as Natsu spell was within her, she couldn't cast a barrier around them. At first, she didn't want to use her release spell, knowing Natsu's attack would be released stronger then it was when it was absorbed. Not only would she hurt those in Fairy Tail, but her own members, but, if she didn't release it, she could get sick due to the foreign magic energy within her. Plus converting it to her own energy would take time, time she didn't have. It was a tough decision, but a decision she had to make no less.

          "Energy Release!"

Fairy Tail members watched in shock as Natsu's spell was thrown back at them. There shock only increased when they released the spell also hit her own members. Since Elvira didn't release it immediately, the power of the spell was weaker then she expected. Because it wasn't as strong as it should've been, the spell barely had an effect on Fairy Tail's members.

Out of the dozen, there was, it took out only four, but even those four still had enough power to stand. The only ones it took down completely were the Phantom Lord members that were already weak and injured. Seeing the results of her spell, she was disappointed, disappointed that she hurt her own guildmates, and barely did anything to even the playing field. However, following Elvira's attack, she heard a very familiar laugh, telling her Gajeel was coming to join the fight.

"Who's that?" voices mumbled, seeing the shadow that jumped down from the beams of the ceiling to the fallen Phantom Lord ceiling. "Is that . . . "

"It's the iron dragon slayer," Erza said, recognizing the male. "Black Steel Gajeel."

"That's a lot of damage you did there Ellie," Gajeel says, looking down at her. "Though you did a lot more damage on our own guild then it did those fairies."

          "Well-,"

"You attacked Levy!" a voice yelled, causing Elvira to turn to see a man going after Gajeel.

Elvira watched as Gajeel turned his hand into an iron club and knocked the man out of the air. Yet, not only did he knock out the Fairy Tail member, but he also knocked out a good chunk of Phantom Lords member too. Jumping down from the broken sign, Gajeel turned his arm back to normal before egging on the still-standing Fairy Tail members. Soon Gajeel was engaged in a fight with a Fairy Tail member by the name of Elfman.

While he did that, Elvira began casting barrier spells over the fallen members of Phantom. She didn't have time to move them but she could prevent them from getting anymore hurt than they already were. As she cast her barrier spells, all Fairy Tail members were focused on the fight between Gajeel and Elfman, allowing Elvira to do her thing interrupted. However, she was soon interrupted by Gajeel, who almost knocked her out with one of his beams.

"What the hell Gajeel?" she asks him, only to be ignored.

Ignoring Elvira, Gajeel then punched Elfman, knocking him back, but as he did that Natsu joined the fight, knocking back Gajeel. Everyone, more specifically Phantom Lord members, looked in shock as Gajeel was on the ground. Nobody in Phantom Lord had ever seen Gajeel taken down so easily before, except for Elvira who can remember sparing with him when they were younger.

Ignoring the fight between Natsu and Gajeel, Elvira began to focus on her injured members, doing what she could to help them. Some Fairy Tail members tried to attack her, but she just pushed them back with her magic. She wanted to focus on defense, not offense, so she did her best to avoid falling into a fight. As Elvira reached the last of her fallen members, she felt the building began to shake, but that didn't deter her. But, when someone went falling from the ceiling, she couldn't help but stop and stare.

"It's heartbreaking!" she heard Aria sob. "Why am I suddenly feeling melancholy. It must be because the world has just lost a great wizard."

"What happened to me?" the now green Makarov asked. "I feel weak, my magic, it's gone."

"That would be Aria," Elvira reveals, walking over to the master. "One of his most powerful spells."

"Back off," Erza warned, holding her sword to Elvira's neck. "Haven't you and your guild done enough?"

"Your master is down, as is your morale." Ignoring the sword at her neck, Elvira then held out her hand and cast a spell on Makarov. Members of Fairy Tail watched as a golden sphere formed around the master, causing him to slightly levitate in the air, the sphere around him. "I would suggest retreating now before things get messy."

"Who do you think you are?" Natsu asks, glaring at her. "You think we're just gonna give up! Not happening! We're fighting for Levy! Jet! Droy! And now Gramps!"

Suddenly the still standing members of Phantom Lord began sprinting towards Fairy Tail. With their master down they knew they could get the upper hand. Still, Fairy Tail didn't seem as though they were ready to give up. Elvira did her best to keep her guildmates away from the old man currently floating in one of her energy domes, but she knew it would be a matter of time before they broke through. She kept her eyes on Erza, silently telling her it was time for Fairy Tail to go. Erza didn't know why Elvira was protecting their master, but she did know it was time for her and her guildmates to retreat.

"We must retreat!" Erza announced, directing her hand towards the door. "Everyone, back to the guild at once!"

When Fairy Tail members heard Erza's order, they were immediatly against it. They wanted to keep fighting, they believed they could keep fighting, still, Erza was set on retreating. While some members listened to Erza's orders immediately, for others, it took a bit of convincing, nonetheless, Fairy Tail was retreating. With Fairy Tail leaving, Elvira dropped the spell she had on countless of her guildmates, no longer seeing a reason to shield them.

As soon as she dropped her shields, she felt familiar magic begin to flow throughout her body. She knew what was happening, she was being transported, it was her master's doing. The last thing Elvira saw before she arrived at her new destination was her guildmates chasing out Fairy Tail. Next thing she knew, she was at headquarters, along with the rest of the S-Class.

          "Where's Master?" Elvira asked Gajeel.

"Talking to the Lucy girl," Gajeel reveals.

"So Juvia and Sol were able to capture her?" she wonders, getting a nod from Gajeel as confirmation. "In that case, we can stop this pointless war."

"Yeah, I don't think so," Gajeel says. "Knowing Master Jose, he'll want to fight to the end, until Phantom is on top."

"Of course he will," she sighs, running her hand through her hair. "And knowing you, you'll want to keep fighting as well."

"Of course I do," Gajeel reveals. "After what the pink headed punk did, I need to show him that there's only room for one dragon in the sky."

"Alright then," she replies. "Let's do this."
