There is Light In Darkness(Avengers Book)

Chapter 2

1st pov

After meeting Steve Rogers for the first time I did what any person would do I went to talk to one of my many familiars

"Well Lydia im not really sure what to tell you I mean I can't believe that you have this many mates and your just now meeting one of them its kinda stupid if you ask me." Rolling my eyes I stand back up from my chair and continue to pace around my living room in my temporary apartment "Yeah I suppose it is...I don't know what to do Drogon." I admit as I fall dramatically onto my floor with a loud thump

Drogon realeases a sound that sounds like a mix between a meow and a sigh "I mean just take it slow hes human and most humans like to go slow in relationships." I pause thinking over the idea I sigh and nod "Yeah okay."

At Training Camp

I tug slightly at the annoying button up top as me and Peggy walk towards the line of men or should I say morons

My eyes land on Steve whos already looking at me and I give him a subtle smile and he returns it when Peggy begins to speak I return my attention to her and make my face blank of any emotions "Attention recruits! I am Agent Carter and this is Agent Argent we supervise all operations for this division." One of the men in the line snorts "Whats with the accent Queen Victoria? I thought I was signing up for the US army?" He quips sarcastically Peggy turns to the man walking towards him

"Whats your name soldier?" She asks calmly yet I can see that she's pissed "Gilmore Hodge your majesty." He says with a smirk "Step forward Hodge." Peggy says and Hodge does as told "Put your right foot forward." She says and he does so "Mmm we gonna wrassle?Cuz I got a few moves I got a few moves I know you'll like." I grimace in disgust

Without warning Peggy punches Hodge in the face he falls to the dirt holding his face and I snicker quietly the sound of a auto mobile enters my ears I turn as Colonel Phillips pulls up I nod to him "Agent Argent Agent Carter." He greets

"Colonel Phillips." Peggy greets back "I see your breaking in the candidates.Thats good!" He turns from me and Peggy to Hodge who was still sitting in the dirt "Get your ass up out of that dirt and stand in line at attention until somebody come tells you what to do." He snaps at Hodge who gets back up holding his nose "Yes sir." Colonel turns to the line of men his face set like stone as he speaks to the soldiers I gently bump Peggy with my arm

She looks to me and I give her a thumbs up while mouthing "Nice job." She rolls her eyes and turns her gaze back to the Colonel but I can see the corners of her mouth turn up

Small Time Skip

Although Steve was trying hard I could tell that training was taxing for him especially with all of his medical problems and the other soldiers bullying him wasn't helping I could force them not to but I was unsure if Steve would be okay with that

"Pick up the pace ladies! Let's go double time!." As all of the men arrive at the flag pole I turn to Peggy "What do you think of Rogers?" I ask her and she turns her gaze over to Steve who seems to be studying the pole

"Well he's definitely got spirit and smarts although with the way he's doing pysically I don't know if he'll make it." I hum not saying anything as I watched Steve goes to the base of the pole ignoring Colonel who is telling him to get back in line

Steve pulls a pin from the base of the pole and it falls over Steve grabs the flag and hands it to Sargeant Duffy "Thank you, sir." He tells him before climbing into the car beside me "Hi." He softly says to me and I give him a warm smile "Hello Steve nice job."

He thanks me as we leave back to the campsite

Another time skip(probably gonna be alot of these by the way)

Peggy and I pace in front of the soldiers to be as they exercise "Faster, Ladies! Come on.My Grandmother has more life in her, God rest her soul." I snort "Move it!" I tell one of the guys who had began to fall behind he groans but picks up the pace

Suddenly out of nowhere a grenade lands in front of the soldiers "Granade!" Colonel Phillips shouts and immediately most of the recruits go flying back trying to save themselves except for Steve who covers it with his body I go to shove him off and throw the grenade in the air with my powers but halt when I realize that its a dud

After nothing happens one of the officers near by commands the trainees back to work Steve looks to the Colonel Erskine and me "Is this a test?" He asks

I say nothing but a small grin manages to force its way onto my lips Steve was definitely the one for the Super Soldier serum

I am so so sorry for the wait you guys my life has gotten super hectic and then I had some serious writers block on top of it its just been really crazy but I am gonna do my best to continue to update

To be honest I'm not really sure what to write for the First Avenger movie but I'm sure once I get past this movie I should be able to go a little bit faster when it comes to updates

Also do you think I should do a different book for ever movie or ever two movies? Or just the same book for all the movies?
