They enveloped anyone and anything in a warm embrace. They went inside the gates traveling to Gehenna where they did exactly the same. While inside the gates, the flames expanded making the two worlds drift back to where they were. The shadows, controlled with the last energy of their king, brought both demons and humans back into the realms they were in before the disaster.

In Gehenna, Satan was crying into his hands, he had just lost his son due to his haughtiness. The crown prince of Gehenna, the Gehenna Guardian Rin Okumura, was no more, that was clear to everyone that had been watching the spectacle. The Vongola Guardians felt, for the first time, a bond to one of their friends and comrades tear and break to pieces. The Cath Sidhe slumped to the ground devastated beyond compare bawling it's eyes out.

Tsuna's POV

~Two years later~

It's been two years since then. I'd like to say we had recovered but we haven't really. Ever since the loss of Rin, one of our fellow Guardians, we have shut down. Well.. most of us have. After that day Mukoro and Hibari became more concerned for the famiglia or more precisely the rest of us. Ryohei now became more quiet, he and Takeshi have lost their usual vigor and laughing and instead became more serious. While it would have usually been an apprictiated change.. this one wasn't, right now I wished they would behave were like before.

Though I myself have become more concerned for each of my guardian's well-being, I now contact them every three hours mentally. You heard right, we still have those links that Rin had made for us. I don't know how they're still working but they do, all of them in fact. Each one that he gifted.

That paladin has been given a trial thrice. One by the Grigory, one by the public Law and the last by the demons. The first and last have both consented to sent Arthur Augustus Angel to the Vindicare, coincidentally in the same cell Mukoro was held in years prior. Someone named Mephisto wanted to give the whole thing more meaning and decided to stick the guy into some sort of crystal.

Speaking of which, the Baal's and the higher level demons all went back to Gehenna to mourn for Rin. The human civilization was still getting used to having the demons around, since some like lower, lesser and some middle class demons liked to stay in Assiah.

Humanity in general has gotten a statement by the Illuminati and True Cross who explained all what has been going on right in front of their very noses. The Vatican got dissolved and instead all of their buildings became owned by the Illuminati and True Cross (who had become fairly independent). Only some of the Demon Kings drop by while the rest stays in Gehenna.

I've heard Satan doesn't want any of his other son's to even go outside the castle now that he lost Rin. Rin's twin is still irrelevant for Satan as his behaviour hasn't improved in the slightest. The Baal coming over were mostly the Demon King of Light Lucifer and the Demon King king of Space and Time Samael. Though you can never predict when Amaimon manages to slip by.

Both have gone public with their identity and are slowly introducing humans with demons. Surprisingly or not the internet got boomed with comments on it. Some where scared and looked into anything related for some form of protection against demons. Others were chill or interested into becoming aquainted with a demon. The younger generation was mostly the latter one as they got along very well with the playful demons.

The only thing remaining a mystery is that, while humans couldn't understand the younger tongue of Gehenna, they could understand any demon above lesser rank such as Middle, High and obviously the Demon Kings. It's speculated that the [Day of Rebirth] had something to do with it according to researchers.

That day is when Rin had saved both Assiah and Gehenna from destruction. My HI agrees with the statement that, indeed, it is because of that day. In detail, we think it was because Rin's and his dou of  'Soulbrothers' flames went through everyone. The result was quick to come. Everyone could see the demons, could hear their voices, got physically thougher - in some cases even younger - but most importantly!

Some had started studying magic because of that... At first nothing seemed to work but.. somehow a post of Rin's emblem with some examples of his circles popped up in the Internet.

That had gotten a reaction. While one couldn't do anything major with it like changing your gender or stuff, you could do basic things like repair things, heal minor wounds or summon demons with it. Though the summoning varies from person to person. Even now new jobs were being implemented that incorporated demons.

A deal was even made with the Royal family of Gehenna regarding that. One Scientist (that was Verde) even discovered that through a specially draw magic circle you can teleport heavy or living things, it's however recommended that it's one circle for one person each to avoid.. Errors...

The most surprising is that family members now also had a mental link, it is however strictly restricted to the family itself. Like you can make private chats to a specific member of the family but not to an outside source, in those cases you can send a demon or spellwriting. Personally I'm quite happy to be able to talk with Okaa-san more often because of that and be able to 'accidentally' cut my dad off when he starts his weird speeches or blending out when he starts calling me with Tuna-fish. The Gardener's for example now work with the earth and insect kin to help the environment while water and rot kin help with purifying the waters.

'Rin.. You left us with an entire new world. You brought those together who had nothing to connect each other. Orphans and poor people are no longer left to die. They now have actual means to either return or get into the community. I don't know.. If it's good cuz we (Mafia) also got revealed but it's not as bad as I imagined it to be..' I went around my office and picked up a fotocollage of my whole family which I then opened.

'We miss you. Even those brothers of yours do. Yukio got a mental therapy and even a scolding from that dead foster father of yours through Azazel. He has improved but the demons still don't forgive him. I wish there was a way.. a way you could come back home. Oh. Right. I forgot to mention that there is gonna be a gathering in Gehenna in your honor tomorrow, it's gonna be screaned across the internet too. It's supposed to be a memorial day.. *sigh*'

Putting the picture down I headed to the dinner room which was still messy but not as much destroyed. How-ev-er! They destroyed that ancient Chinese Vase that grandpa gifted me for last new year.

💢💢💢! Inhaling deeply I shouted for the entire Town to hear.

"SIT DOWN YOU RABBIT TROUBLEMAKERS! I'M HAVING ENOUGH WORK WITH THOSE ACCURSED PAPERS ALREADY!!"

A group of Hobgoblins stopped jumping on some upturned trees  that resembled benches or slides "Does that human mean us?", "Don't know, should we go ask?".
