My Big Brother (Izuku's Younger Sibling POV) ✨

My big brother has always there for me when I needed him. He's helped me with homework, played with me, and been there when Mom couldn't.

Today is the first day of the entrance exams. He seems pretty nervous.

"Hey Izuku?"

"Yeah?" He says, eating his cereal.

"Are you nervous for the entrance exam today?"

"Well yeah. But I'll do my best, and what happens will happen, I guess."

The room is quiet for a minute, until Izuku breaks the silence.

"Don't worry about me, I'll be fine," he says.

"Ok..."

"Hey, how about when I get back, you and I can play a game together?"

"Can I choose the game?"

"Sure," he says with a laugh.

"Hey Izuku?"

"Yes?"

"Um, I don't want to be rude, but how are you going to pass the exam? What if the other kids try to hurt you? What if you can't defend yourself? I mean, you don't have a quirk, at least we don't think you do..."

He sits there for moment, just looking at me, like he wants to say something but can't figure out the right words. Then he takes a deep breath.

"Look, I know you're worried about me, but I'll be ok."

"You promise?"

He pauses, then promises he'll stay safe. We hug each other, then he finishes his cereal.

"It's time to go," he says looking at the clock.

Mom and I wave him good-bye and wish him luck. Well, I wave and Mom cries.

It's been a couple days since the entrence exam. Izuku said he thinks he did good, but as usually he doubts himself. I told him he probably was the best one out there, but he just laughs.

This Sunday, Izuku and I were playing a board game in the living room, when Mom frantically ran in.

"Izuku? Where are you? Izuku!" she was saying.

"Over here, Mom!" Izuku called out.

She turned and saw us, she looked like she wanted to cry.

"Mom? Are you okay?" I asked her.

She tried to say something, but couldn't. She held out a letter and said 'just look'.

Izuku worriedly took the letter from her, and then his eyes opened wide.

"What? What is it?" I asked.

Was everyone okay? Why were they freaking out?

Izuku looked at me and said slowly: "It's a letter from UA."

"Really? What's it say?"

"I don't know, we have to read it first."

Izuku opened the letter and quickly scanned it over. Then he whispered something inaudible.

"What? What does it say?" I asked.

"I made it. I made it in."

I squealed in excitement.

"Really? You really did?" I said as I hugged him.

"I'm so proud of you, Izuku." Mom said, starting to cry again.

"I love you guys." Izuku said with a smile.

We all hugged each other. Both Mom and Izuku were crying.

I want to be like my brother someday. If he can make it into UA, why can't I? That's it! I'll prove that anyone can be a hero. Just like my big brother.
